I’m starting to think that I’m not ready to be committed. I really care about the man who is in my life now and I don’t want to hurt him, but I want to start seeing other people.
I would probably see the man I’m with about once a month, and the other dudes once a week. I don’t want to leave him and end up alone, or for someone who ends up treating me bad. I’m not cheating on him yet, but I’m always out with someone other than him. I’m young and I want to start enjoying my life!!!

If you have any feelings at all for your man, you'll break it off now. You said, "I don’t want to leave him and end up alone, or for someone who ends up treating me bad." That means you're just keeping the guy around until you find someone better. It's mean, disrepectful, uncaring.

If it's true that you don't want to hurt him, let him go now -- cleanly and respectfully. Don't make him feel like garbage.

How would you want to be treated?

Old saying goes you can't have your cake and eat it too. If you don't feel like this is the guy for you then go out and find one. To date many men is great....for a week or two. Then they call you up and another dude answers the phone OR or another man stops by and sees you snuggling up with another guy, or hears a message left on your answering machine, things will get nasty quick.

I think you've said it all. You're not ready for a commitment, so be honest with your friend and tell him that at this point of your lives, you need a little space. No one is ever alone for long, so that shouldn't enter into it at all. Be open with him or you'll wind up hurting both of you.

DON'T make the mistake of trapping yourself while your young and gorgeous and regret it. And hey fate is fate... you never know down the road you may end up with him again if it's right!

As long as you're not married, it's all good. Don't tie yourself down to one guy until you're ready.
