Some of them are. The Ku Klux Klan advocates Protestant Christianity. Christian Identity is a white-supremacist form of Christianity. The Chuch of Jesus Christ Christian holds odd beliefs such as the Israelites being white people, when in reality, they were Middle Eastern. They don't believe that Jesus was Jewish, as they believe Jews are the spawn of a fabled union between Eve and Satan. Quite unbiblical, I must say. The first Epistle to the Thessalonians (2:14-15) says that the Judeans (which could be interpreted as Jews) killed "the Lord Jesus and their own prophets, and have persecuted us; and they do not please God, and are contrary to all men." Until the Holocaust, when people finally realized it wasn't a cool thing to persecute Jews, the Bible was often used as a tool of justification in order to persecute Jews and make anti-Semitic claims. A few years ago, a Pentecostal Minister placed a banner on his chuch, proclaiming "The Jews killed the Lord Jesus". Thankfully, a passerby came and spraypainted the word 'Jews' out, making it read "The killed the Lord Jesus". A few Christians often claim that blackness (becoming black) was the curse God placed on Cain for killing his brother Abel. This was then used as a justification for racism and resentment towards African-Americans and all those of African descent. It was even used as a justification for slavery. So yes, a good number of Christians in America are racist.

One cannot be a true Christian and racist. It doesn't work that way. Many people say they're Christians and they aren't. For example, the KKK swear up and down that they're Christians, yet they're hateful as are all racists. You can't be hateful and a Christian. The two are completely contradictory. Christianity teaches of love not hate. So the answer is no.
On another note. Black people can't be racists. With racism comes power. Since Black people do not have power within the United States or anywhere else in the world, they can't be racists. And whoever said that Black Americans are racist the most are way off. It is actually white Americans since they are actually the only ones who can implement racism. I'm not saying that all whites are racists but they are the only ones who are able to be.

I tend to see racists as people that stereotype and try to keep down other groups of people. When you make a statement like 'are Christians racists in America' lumping all Christians together, how is that different?

There are racists that claim to be christian in America.
It don't add up.
Christians are supposed to follow the teachings of Christ.
Christ never hated other nationalities.
He said that the identifying mark of a true christian is love.
You can't be a christian and a racist. The two contradict one another.

I am glad you noticed. I never wanted to say anything because of the contraversy it can cause, but you hit it on the money. And the black panthers are not true muslims. They worship Wali Farad Muhammad as does the nation of islam. Just as how the christians worsip jesus. That is why they assasinated Malcom X. He found out the truth and changed his view of racial profiling after his pilgrimage to mecca. And the peace and truth he could have taught the masses would have changed america indeed. Him and Martin Luther King Jr. together could have made true changes. And the ones who taught him(Malcom X) all the racist realities of the world(not just america) can not have that. So that is why he was assasinated. But to answer your question, christians are VERY racist. And if not that, subconsciencely and/or consciencely think they are better than you.

A true Christian patterns their life after that of Jesus - treating others with love and compassion, accepting all human beings, and learning to forgive. Racists are full of hatred for a group of people based on ignorance (lack of knowledge) and fear. I am a Christian and I am not a racist.
I have actually seen more hatred from atheists toward Christians (and vice versa) on this site - behavior that resembles "racist" attitudes. It would be nice if we could all accept each other for who we are instead of judging each other for what we believe.

The real christians arent racist because they would love everybody like god does. Most likely if a person says they are christian but hates another race they are a poser.

There are racists in all religions, not just Christianity. Asatru has a big problem with racism cause we get white supremacists who have it in their heads to use the Norse Gods as examples of "racial purity" and thus worship them and claim to be Asatru. That's just one example too. I've met plenty of racists who were Muslim, Hindu, Pagan, Wiccan...even Buddhism. It's sad.

That is a good question.
True Christians are not racist, they are very much against racism. There are many cults in this and other countries that claim to be Christian and are not.
I would hate to be the person who meets Jesus in the end and I tell him how much of a good Christian I am and he looks at me and says, " away from me you evil doer. I never knew you!"
THERE SHALL BE WEEPING AND GNASHING OF TEETH!
I didn't compose this, look in your bible, read it for yourself.
