I heard about doing this for the first time yesterday. Sounds a little weird to me, is it commonplace?

Only the ones I cook at home and only the crispy wing tips that are removed when you get them out. Calcium in bones.

I have never heard of it. You'd need a set of good teeth. My husband will eat the shrimp's tail and I thought that was unusual!

no..you are not supposed to eat the bones..
its not good for your body, can cause massive damage to your intestinal system..
