I have a couple and heard that they could eventually become cancerous. Is this true, and should I go ahead and see about getting them all removed? (I have about 4 of them, and I am only 24 years old.)

Moles can become cancerous, BUT I have several, and my doctor told me that I would need to worry ONLY if they started to grow and turn black. I am 68 and have never had to have one removed. Just watch for changes in them and consult your doctor if there are any.

Well, moles and birthmarks are two different things. Not all moles become cancerous, but there is no harm in getting them removed if you want them gone.

Only if they look really wierd, (think a disgusting looking color) and are not circular shaped but more of a messed up oval. If you're not sure, ask your doctor.

I think if you really want to because you are self conscious about them. Otherwise only if they grow and change shape and color.
