His problem is, that he is running 104 temp, and his legs and paws are hurting him.He is very weak, and there are massive scaley clumps all over his body, and inside his ears. We now have him on steroids, but the Dr doesn't seem to know what it is, any advice would be appreciated.

has he been checked for Lyme Disease??? that sometimes causes fevers and soreness in the joints. The other symptoms could be another problem...Hope that helps!

Get a second opinion NOW---Ur dog should not have left the vet with a 104 fever. I am not yelling at u but the vet made me mad. Please take him to another vet. They should cool him down and run bloodwork possibly a lyme disease test or an allergy test/ x-rays. There is an infection going on or a very bad reaction to something and needs to be taken care of immediately! Good Luck and hope all goes well soon!

Of course I'm not a vet, but you could look into this.

It could be many things...even an allergic reaction to a vaccine. I would definitely take him to a different vet though. It can't hurt to get a second opinion. Good luck!

Could very well be an allergic reaction to the steroids...I'd go to a different vet, too.

Hope your little guy gets better fast.

You should try a different vet hospital asap, a dog should not be sick for that long. It seems like your dog is really suffering. If he is suffering really bad, sorry to say but it's better to put him to sleep if another vet can't help him or if he is not feeling any better soon. **** Luck we you and your dog.

Wow, my heart goes out to you. I know what it is like to have a sick pet. They arelike having sick children and you can become just as attached and love them just as much.

If I were you I would take the poor thing to another veterinarian if you aren't getting the answers you need from your present vet.
