Try hot pink or rich red. Any bright color would pop against black hair.

Honestly? None. If you absolutely MUST highlight your hair, I'd go for a dark brown. Do NOT do anything unnatural like pale blonde, red, pink, blue, etc.

If you have a funky style, hot pink would look awesome. If you are going for a more natural look, I would go with dark brown or an auburn. STAY AWAY from blonde and light brown, it will look awful while your hair is growing out.

i personally don't like highlights that look very unnatural bc they just look fake. go with something subtle that make your complexion warmer and healthier- just what color depends on your skin tone. and don't go overboard. if you have them done mostly around your face they'll nicelly highlight your face and make you look like you just hit the beach! :-)
