Contact the manufacturer of the helmet. They may use some type of epoxy paint.

Are you doing this for exhibit or for racing? in spite of if it particularly is for the latter, you could no longer paint it!!! I easily have a helmet that became signed by using countless drivers on the Birmingham large Prix and became instructed that using fact it were signed, it would desire to no longer be used using fact the integrity might have been broken. in certainty, the helmets are airbrushed and decals then caught on (in spite of the shown fact that some do paint the classified ads somewhat of decals). try the fewer than web pages for some ideas. in case you touch Gremlin designs, they are able that might actually assist you (yet am uncertain if it somewhat is all commerce secrets and strategies!)

You could always do it the military way and just use reflective tape on the helmet instead of paint.

There is nothing saying you need to paint it any specific type. But depending on what your after as far as results, will depend upon the paint you use. I suggest going to a motorcycle shop and see what they reccomend for their helmets.
