if you always see him checkin you out.
if he comes up and talks..
if he cares about whether your doin good or not
if he wants to talk to you and not more than anyone else
if he smiles when you smile
if he comes out of the ...whatever.. when you come out....
if he tries to talk to you
if he calls you
or anything like that
if he wants to meet up some place with you to have fun with you
if he laughs alot (it means hes really happy your talking to him)
if he smiles or what ever when your around
if he tries showing off around you
if he shows the best of himself to his friends when he knows your watching
if he tells his friends to talk to you about him
if anyone tries finding out what you think of him
if he stares at a far distance and says wassup (the head way)

If somebody likes you they will probably stare at you a lot. They will also most likely follow you around and stay one hundred feet behind you because they like to look at your body from behind. They will also probably call you at ungodly hours of the night and breath heavily for a few seconds before hanging up. They also usually sneak in your house when you're not home and go through your underwear drawer and leave signs so that you know they were there. If this guy is doing all or most of these things then, yeah, he probably likes you.

asking is NOT a good idea if your shy. But you could ask if they wanted to hang out sometime thats a safe way to find out a little bit of what they are thinking. If you Catch them looking at you more then a few times thats a good hint. but sometimes thats not the case. they may be real shy and just really good at looking away.

They spend time with you.
They care about you and your well being.
They look out for you.
You don't have to do all the chasing.
They give you the look.
When they are sure you won't reject them, they let you know.

In addition to fliriting they start acting more childish (in a sort of playful way) with you, more so than when you first met or compared to the way they act with other people... actually that sort of is what flirting is.
