Mk.16:17-18 says "And these signs shall follow them that believe; In my name shall they cast out devils; they shall speak with new tongues; They shall take up serpents; and if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them; they shall lay hands on the sick, and they shall recover.", doesn't that mean true believers can't die of poisoning?

I am very much a Christian but think you would have to be seriously messed up to try drinking poison.

It's most likely a scam to induce people to give money to a false teacher or to make a twisted person seem more 'Holy'.

Why don't they see if they are immune to:

A 12 Gauge to the Brain Stem?

I'm not actually suggesting anyone do this. I am only suggesting that poison is easily faked...

Having said that, all things are possible. If it suits God to allow a person to live after drinking poison, that is up to Him. I wouldn't presume enough to know God's will...

We have to speak the promise in faith. If God tells me to not drink it, & I do, that would be testing God. Jesus said, "It is written to not tempt the LORD thy God." Personally, God has told me not to eat or drink certain items in the past. Also, when in doubt, toss it out.

I believe these miracles happen when God moves by our faith.

If a Spirit filled born-again Christian, operating in faith / anointing in His Name & they drink any deadly thing it will not hurt them. In His Name devils are cast out. In His Name we speak in new languages. In His Name we shall lay our hands on the sick & they shall recover. In His Name, we pick up serpents.

True believers have been murdered by poison in the past. I believe they have to be operating in the faith of the miraculous for it to not harm them. This is the faith of God.

Also, The Name is Jesus Christ the LORD. One has to have faith in The Name. And that faith grows with experiences in Christ Power & learning who God Is.

Nobody is immune to oral poisons! NOBODY! I'm not a Christian, but I still know the answer to that. I know at least 1 person that was a born-again Christian that died from poisoning.

It means that if the Spirit wills it then they will not die of oral poisoning however the bible also says DO NOT tempt the Lord your God. He might just let you die for some other reason.

Nobody considers the long ending in Mark to be a part of the Bible. Every Biblical scholar will tell you it was added. So to try and make a point against Christianity using the Bible, but using a part that is not actually the Bible is just a misstep on your part.

Yes it does...in the end times these things will come to pass. No fiery dart of the wicked shall prosper. There is much more that you should read about the end times. It will make you think harder.

no it does not mean that we are immune to poisons it just means that when we have Jesus in us we can do anything in HIS name because the devil does not like the name of Jesus Christ. when we are born again we have authority over the devil and God gives us these gifts to do for him.....

There are actually some religious nuts who are snake handlers. I wish all of them would try the deadly drinks. It would make life much more pleasant for the rest of us.

But there are numerous examples of religious snake handlers who believe this verse and still die.
