The Bible never clearly says either way. It's pure conjecture on either side to say yes or no. There are fairly good reason for taking either side. I know this is a completely vague answer, sorry.

I cannot speak for everyone, although I think my point of view is broad.
I cannot believe that people would think that animals have no souls. Look into your dog's eyes. There is wisdom and love there. How could anyone actually think that they would be what they are without loving and very real souls inside them? There are no creatures that haven't got a soul and God-energy inside them. How can people be so ignorant as to believe that Humans are the only animal worthy of a soul? (Yes, I said it, humans are animals, and if it weren't for religions keeping people from acting that way, it would be more evident.) From the songbird to the majestic Tiger, the housecat and the wild coyote, to the crickets that make the music of the evening. All are special in their own respect, and all have soul. Even our "food' animals have souls, and we should remember that and be grateful to the animal's soul that passed on so we could be nourished of it's meat. Look into the eyes of the cow, and you see that yes, there is a bewildered, distant look... or is that the understanding the cow has that this is it's station in life, and that it will one day die at the farmer's hand (or now, tragically, machinery and men in rubber suits...) to be made into steak and burgers. We should all be mindful of that.
*shaking my head.*
Blessed Be.

No,Animals dont have souls. If they did,We'd baptize everyone of them, but alot of them you die during that process, lol. But on a serious note, The gospel was created to save Man because they have souls,The lord came to save what is lost.Which is Mans soul.Hope this answers it for you.God Bless.

Of course animals have souls.....

What HUMAN told you that they don't?

If a dog wrote the bible, I bet it would read that "humans" don't have souls.

The human EGO is selfish and imagines that it controls who has life after death and who does not....

Death is not an end to life, it is a transition.

Your body is WHAT you are IN, not WHO you are.

Dogs are designed to be dogs, cats are designed to be cats and humans are designed to be humans....... it is all dust.

Seems to me, people like to imagine that animals don't have souls to justify their own actions.

It's plausible. However, I would say animals have a spirit but not a soul.
-Good question! I gave you a thumbs up! =)

If I remember rightly, animals do not have souls but they have spirits. (Humans have both.) I just don't know why it's believed so.
