Our household income is under that, but at the same time I know I live just as well as my sister who makes over that because our location has a much lower cost of living. So, wealth, I don't think is measured very well by numbers, I mean relative to the whole world, I'm in the top 10% of wealthiest people. That sure is an eye opener isn't it?

I'm not. I'm a broke *** college student with a minimum wage summer job.

My father however, (who I dont speak too, nor do I recive and money from), owns a large retial bicycle company in NJ. (ever hear of Trek and Lance armstrong? That's what he sells. He's met lance several times) Anyway, he also owns 3 independant stores, and an accesories warehouse...

long story short, I'd be surprised if he made anything under 500,000 a year. No lies.

I wishhhhh he would share that with me.

Why? God, we all really need to set aside this OBSSESSION with matrial wealth as a means of determining your worth as a person. Buying things, cars, houses doesn't make you a better person. And for your info, yes I would be considered financially wealthy, but that doesn't make me successful. Making the people I love and myself happy determines success.

P.S 50 000$ isn't wealthy...it's a drop in the bucket. Even 20 years ago you had to make at least 60 000$ to be considered well-off.

I have yet to enter the work force, but both my parents have college degrees (my dad a masters), and both make 80,000-100,000 a year, though my mother doesn't currently work, as she quit her last job. I would consider myself upper-middle class. I am an atheist, and both of them were raised Christian, and became agnostic in their teens and twenties.

Above 50K annual is wealthy? I guess I am then, but I certainly don't feel like it.
