i recommend to be friends with him for awhile until you both are totally ready for a relationship. Of course both of your parents will be stronger bond to each other if both of you turn into a relationship. But if both of you broke up, this can cause a problem between your parents. You and the other person will feel akward everything both of you meets due to the intense of broken apart after a relationship. After a relationship is hard to get back being friend again..of course that can happen but i recommend think throughly!

How old are you? The younger you are, the more of an impact your dating him will affect your parents. Also the conditions of your life right now (stressful, relaxing, dramatic...) should influence your decision of whether or not to date him. If your life is stressful or full of drama, it will probably be better to keep him as a friend because dating him will probably change your relationship and cause drama. otherwise, go for it. the best and most successful relationships often evolve from friendships.
good luck!

Talking it out is the best way. Your mom's friendship should not be a factor. If they are really super close as you say their friendship will survive you two dating/breaking up

It would almost seem like a perfect situation. If you know this guy and his family are good, just continue.
Also, try to make your mother see your end of the deal here. Dont be mean or anything, just tell her how you feel about it.

Go on with your feelings. maybe you should not first tell him. In the first place, if he really likes you, no matter what his mother says, he will do a move to be with you. and your mother are not justifiable. They didn't even think that if both of you will be together, there chance of beings friends with each other will lead to a much better relationship with each other.

Just remain friends for now. Try to obey your mom. If you keep getting older and you still have feelings for him, maybe you could have a talk with your mom. But for now, just enjoy your friendship.

Well if your mom does not like him that is going to make things hard between the two of you. I would wait until he is out of the house and living on his own. This way it wont be so hard

First things first. Would your friendship be in jeopardy if it didn't work out? Second, if you two do get together, be honest, and tell the family! If they are worth anything, they will respect you two and be by your side!

You could spend time together as friends and if both of you are interested in moving beyond that, then that is the time to discuss the implications with your families.

who cares?
Your mother must be a whimp if she worries about breaking up a friendship. Adults know that teenagers just might break up and things can be messy, but you get over it.
Just don't turn it into a drama; PLeazzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz
