i replied with this question and would like to hear your views on it

can i ask you to what purpose a demon posing as a loved one , coming to comfort those grieving , and promising eternal life in spirit with god , and normally encouraging people to become more spiritual and religious .. what would a demon gain from that ?

i am seeing wonderful answers in support of my question but as yet fail to see any good reason why a demon would do this

Being a spiritualist, you are sensitive to the different energies that an entity possesses, also if you have an established guide they will also communicate knowledge to you about the nature and reason for contact.

The Astral platform is the bridge between the material and spiritual dimensions and our loved ones, spiritually advanced entities and representatives of the Supreme may contact us, with an objective in helping us to return home, to the world of light, the spiritual world.

There are however, malevolent entities that are forced to remain on the subtle Astral plane as a form of rectification, so we must seek shelter of the Supreme if we encounter difficulties or unpleasant visitors, quite often these entities are lost, due to material attachments, long since passed, or need help in another way.

The view held in the previous question that all spirits are demons is simply ignorance, this is a fundamental view held by adherents of a well known doomsday cult, many of which are now those entities mentioned previously, locked into the astral plane seeking help.

Pangel, I am sure you are well aware that it was this fundamental ignorance, that was responsible for the torture and crucifixtion of a pure devotee of God consciousness and has manifested through the ages in forms such as the inquisitions, witch trials and many many henious acts of barbarism, fortunately this type of political power has now disolved, allowing real knowledge and realisation to be shared and discussed openly.

Demons confuse and control. They are vicious and spiteful, but the majority are, literally, all talk. They play games with mediums, making them think that the medium has control over them. I have heard mediums talk about filling themselves with light and so on. This is just a game for demons, a big confidence trick.

Taking the form of a loved one is one of the best ways to get through a person's defences.

A man had to go through woods which was home to a number of wolves. He was much afraid, coming out in a cold sweat at the thought of it. There was a witch in that village who gave him a stone and told him to hold it high when the wolves were near, and they would not attack.

So, the man walked into the wood. Suddenly, on a rock nearby, he saw a wolf looking down on him. In fear and shaking he held up the stone and the wolf ran away. This made him more confident. He walked further into the woods, and there was a wolf blocking his path. His confidence fell and he was about to run, but he turned his head away, closed his eyes held up the stone. When he looked back, the wolf was gone.

Now he was beginning to trust the stone. He had several more encounters with the wolves, but each time they went away. He became confident, then over confident, then careless. He even started chasing the wolves, totally confident the stone would save him.

On one occasion, he entered this glade and saw a wolf sitting by a tree. He went up to the wolf to stroke him, stone held high. And the wolf killed him.

The stone was never protecting him.

There is one defence and one defence only against demons, that is The Holy Spirit. Without it man has no authority over demons, and any authority he seems to have is an illusion. A cruel game. A wolf stone.

I believe that it is the spirit of a loved one, not a demon. A loved one returns to help and comfort, a demon would only want to cause more pain.

The ask-er of the other question has a greater need to be correct than he has compassion. He is a frightened person. He fears things like spirits and wants everyone else to fear them too. Your answer is good.

There are no demons...they are not real. Spirits are not evil.

Loved ones who have passed may try to contact us to let us know that they still exist, just in spirit form. It's not usually a "message" or some sinister "warning" but just to let us know they are there.

The story is told of a woman who had a son who didn't believe in God but she was a devout Christian. He went to vietnam and went missing and presumed dead. One night he appeared at the foot of her bed and said that he was dead and that he was in heaven and all the nonsense about hell in the Bible are not real it is only there to help people be good. And he went on to say that everybody goes to heaven even those that are bad. He visited her many times and told her other good things. One day her real son appeared at the front door with his arm in sling. He was not dead at all. Isaiah 8 says we should test everything from the Bible. Isaiah 30:10Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

The Bible is clear about the dead that they are in grave sleeping until Jesus returns 1 Thessalonians 4. Jesus died he didn't become a spirit and went to heaven - the Bible clearly states that he was in the gave for three days and three nights. these are some of the deadly delusions of the devil and I hope that you are willing to accept truth from the Bible and not be those who choose to believe a lie rather than the Bible. 2 Thessalonians 2:11 And for this cause God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie:

12That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.

Your Soul O little innocent beloved of God..... Get my drift.. esspecially the beloved of God bit... sweetie.

Posing as an angel of light, you believing him, he can tell you things that seem right but he being an old ancient being experienced in the minds of simple one dimensional man, he can lead you along a path to damnation, leaving you thinking your special.

I think you can find a lot of answers in the book, "Many Lives, Many Masters" by Brian Weiss, M.D.. It's a book about a psychiatrist who at first can't believe that one of his patients can remember her past lives under hypnosis. But after a while, and after she describes some very personal info about him, he starts to believe it more. They guy started out a skeptic. Well-written book.

there is no purpose, but if the masses of people believed that it was not evil then they would probally turn to religions that help to explain these things, if that happened the christian, jewish and muslem churches would be out of business due to a sharp rise in buddahism and pagan religions.

simply put it is a way for the monothestic churches to control the masses and keep them paying their tithes
