1a) yes
1b) yes
2a) yes
2b) no

But I am for capital punishment as a means of protecting the innocent, and as a means of deterring more criminals from committing similar crimes, and as the only adequate response to express the outrage of society against certain crimes.

1a) this is a silly question, you know there are people out there who believe this

1b) no, I am against abortion , but not because it is killing innocent "people" (unless of course we can agree on the definition of people)

2a) another silly question, you know that there are people out there that are for capital punishment for this reason

2b) no, again, I think capital punishment has its place, but my reason for supporting capital punishment is not appropriately expressed by "because it rids the world of murderes"

3) although I said no to both 1b and 2b, I think my position may be similar to what you were asking for, I was just uncomfortable with your wording, so I will offer a little more detail

abortion is destruction of a living thing, usually for selfish reasons, and without due process of law

it would be similar to capital punishment if capital punishment were meted out to the innocent on the whim of a single individual

capital punishment is the states legal response after a person is convicted of a certain type of crime

it is no different than jailing a person for their crime, or whipping them, or fining them or whatever

I can hardly wait for part 2

I think that all killing is to be avoided, EXCEPT in those circumstances where some other consideration outweighs the prohibition against killing.

Self-defense is a widely accepted exception.

War, abortion and capital punishment are others - more actively debated, to be sure.

Weigh the interests and draw a balance. And pray you're right.

We kill people all the time . . .

1a and b) im pro choice, no one has the right to tell others what to do when its not interfering with their lives

2a and b) i believe in capital punishment if its 110% beyond a shadow of doubt and there is no chance the person can be rehabilitated to go back into society (unfortunately its impossible to truely prove guilt these days as it comes down to who has the best legal team, as shown with the many people who have been sent to death row and later found innocent)

1a)yes
1b)yes
2a)yes but I have biblical support to back me up on that in Numbers
2b)yes
3) Abortion is killing innocence, life begins at conception-Their bows also shall dash the young men to pieces; and they shall have no pity on the fruit of the womb; their eyes shall not spare children.
Isaiah 13:17-19 This basically is describing our times.
As for capital punishment-'Anyone who kills a person is to be put to death as a murderer only on the testimony of witnesses. But no one is to be put to death on the testimony of only one witness.
Numbers 35:29-31.

yes, I am against abortion...and yes, I am against capital punishment

God states that before we were ever conceived in our mother's womb, He knew us.....that means that God has always had a plan and purpose for each and every human being, including those whose lives were taken from them through abortion.....

and about capital punishment.....God is the Supreme authority and I feel that only He has the authority to give and take life.....why must we kill a person who kills a person to show that killing a person's wrong?

3a) Your inclusion of "innocent" in 1a) is the reason why 1a) differs from 2a)

3b) Capital punishment is a deterrent and is based on behavior.

because murders must be put to death, those that take the life of an infant are guilty of murder in the eyes of God.
