We already say no to smoking.
We already say no to gambling.
We already say no to excess alcohol.

That doesn’t mean that people who smoke, gamble or drink are bad people, it’s just that their habit can be destructive.

Similarly with religion, it has a track record of destruction, violence, hatred, evil, killings and murder since humanity began. Yes there are also nice religious people, but is it time to say no to religion, for the better good of all humanity.

YES, finally someone with some sense. religion is on its way out. more and more people are questioning it. science is making progress in disproving canonized texts everyday. but the ignorance of many still exists. what they dont understand is that religion teaches hate, it teaches death to those who are not like you. the inquisition, the holocaust the crusades, the constant war in the middle east, 911, all of these acts were done in the name of religion. why you may ask, simply because they all were following the word of their canonized books. yes even hitler was doing the work of the bible, also the catholic church help ship out convicted nazis to south america so they would not be caught. so i say we are saying no to religion more and more everyday, but there will always remain the ignorant few.

I made my own choices in regard to religion, and I'm happy to allow others that same privilege. I don't want to force people to give up their faith. I don't want anyone telling me I must worship, so I won't tell anyone that they can't or how to follow their faith. I think most religious people just want to be good, and they think the only way to be good is to be religious and obey rules that have little to do with being good, or insist on acts contrary to reason and fairness. I concentrate on showing them that morality and religion are not one and the same and that nontheists can live moral, productive, altruistic, and fulfilling lives, too, without all the meaningless mumbo-jumbo.

As noted and quoted from Kingdom of Heaven:

Put no stock in religion. By the word religion, I have seen the lunacy of fanatics of nearly every denomination be called the will of God. Holiness is in right action, and courage on behalf of those who can not defend themselves, and goodness. What God desires is in you mind, your heart, and by what you decide to do every day, will you be a good man or not?

With this said, I say NO to organized religion; particularly all forms of religion that claim (outright or subliminally) that they are superior to all other forms of religion.

People need to stop looking for loop holes to excuse the wrongs that they commit in life. People need to hold themselves accountable and not depend on some other person's interpretation of God's will as fact.

All religous leaders are human. They are no different than you or me and are capable of making mistakes and have the same flaws as anyone else on this planet. They have no special powers and can not guarantee anyone salvation, everlasting life, or a place in heaven.

Therefore, I place my faith in myself and in the bellief that when my time is done, I will be judged according to my actions, not my religion.

Smoking and alcohol abuse are addictions with physically proven bad effects on people. Alcohol in moderation is not bad and is even beneficial.
Gambling is ony bad in excess too, not someone playing and betting for the fun of it. I doubt that state lotteries are harmful to most people. But they can be to people are are subject to addictive behaviors.
Religion is freely chosen. It is not an addiction. And you only choose to focus on the negative results. Christianity is largely responsible for what we now call western civilization.
You could use the same argument about governments. Since they often engage in war, let's get rid of them. In fact, let's get rid of people. They are the real cause of all violence, hatred, murder and wars.

Yes because they are manmade laws that God never intended to be considered sin. Sin is a person harming another, God does not tolerate that. Drinking or gambling is only wrong when it robs your family of their food and shelter. Its not wrong to enjoy the things on this earth that God created, its only wrong when it harms a person.

Say "no" all you like..... people will still be whatever they choose.

Religion and GOD are not one and the same.

Religion is humanity trying to explain the unexplainable.

God is the I am.
