Hi, you just need to be yourself, once you get to know a person the shyness will disappear, eye contact is a good thing, you can tell alot from a persons eyes. Also it depends on your age, if you are new to the dating game or trying to get to know the opposite sex, with all things it takes time, just take each day as it comes. You will look back on this and wonder what all the fuss was about. Good LUCK ;o)

Dont worry there are many people like yourself. Instead of going on a single date get a group together of your friends and their dates and go out to eat or bowling or anywhere and pass discusion around the table in a little time the shy girl will go away and the bold one will come out.

I got the same problem. try taking it at a more exact way. Play out the conversation in your head first, or atleast the beginning, and think of responses to the most likely replies. Then, as the conversation goes on, your shyness will melt away and you will begin to speak more freely.

i was exactly the same way as a matter of fact i still am... i have my own guy issues "trying to get the guy" deal.... just be confident in urself which i know is alot harder to do than say... u just have to be confident around them they dont have to know that your shy.... if you have guy friends just hang out with them a little more that way you get comfortable around guys in general.... also think before you say anything... i use to and still tend to say alot of stupid stuff.... that way you can make sure that its nothing stupid... also if there is a guy your interested in and you want to talk to him.. find out what he's into and let him talk about it... let him do the talking and when you feel a bit comfortable (dont wait to long he'll think your not interested or that you dont talk and your shy) then talk more really get to know him...

Try to relax, men are just as human as women are, we do things differently however, but we are still all humans. The best advice to get over your shyness is to think about what I just wrote...and also to try to find guy "friends" who you're not necessarily attracted to. You will gain more confidence talking to guys this way, and also...*cough* somtimes, guys can make you better friends in the long run!

They are just as scared as you. You are shy around them because you are nervous and scared of looking foolish. They feel that way too, trust me. And if you do happen to say or do something stupid, don't worry. The world won't end. Just be yourself and go from there.

The best thing to do is get accustomed to being around guys, become their friends, there is nothing personal going on so there is nothing to be shy about. Act as you would around your girlfriends, cool, natural and in control. Just have fun.

I studied in a single-sex school and had this problem too, when I got in the college. Well, I tried to stop differentiating by talking to them. Star by little nothings, as you keep talking you ease your tension. It will be a long time before you are cool about it. But keep trying. Best of luck.

Don't be afraid! The boys wont bite u!They r afraid for what to say and do when they r around girls - just like u.So forget the word "shy".Act normal and think of them just like u think about your girl friends and they'll like u for yourself.

Be yourself , remember no one can please every one, all the time.
If some one thinks you are stupid it is there opinion.
You will always be what you are-most of the time.
You can put on a show; but you cannot go on for ever. The show must end.
