As a Christian, I'm not hateful of others. Non-Christians who have met me respect my beliefs as I respect theirs. I don't condemn gays even though I disagree with their lifestyle.
Just because I believe in the Bible doesn't make me hateful or stupid.

Yes, I have heard of the Inquisition, J.
The people behind the Inquisition weren't Christians; they were being intolerant to build a powerbase.

How can you believe in the Bible and respect their beliefs? I can understand tolerating them but the Bible says that we're supposed to reach the lost. If we are coming across as hateful, and I understand what you're talking about, we are not doing it in the spirit of Christ. But, don't get direct confused with hateful. Jesus was very direct but obviously loving and gentle.

If you believe that one must accept JC as your savior in order to enter heaven, you are assigning yourself a position of superiority over those that don't. Perhaps you yourself don't feel this way but in general humans do not handle superiority very well. An extreme example would be the Nazis. They thought their race was better than all others.
As for Christian stupidity. To deny the truth that is science is ignorance. Evolution is for the most part is a fact. The great flood of Noah didn't happen. The earth goes around the sun, not vice versa. The point is, to believe everything in the bible as literal truth is foolish and ignorant.
These are just some of the things that cast a dim light on Christianity.

Take everything you read in the Bible with a grain of salt. While it's all we have as far as God's word goes (good luck finding the original scriptures. Or the copies of the original scriptures. Or the copies of the copies of the original scripture...).
There are several instances where mistakes have been made in the translations and reproductions of the scriptures, and the entire compilation was set in the order it was by a group of men with ulterior motives. Watch out whenever someone starts a sentence with "The bible says...", because nobody alive knows WHAT the bible says.

Unfortunantely there are some Christians who have come before you that have given the group a bad name. A few bad apples can do a lot of damage to the bunch. Clearly though you seem to be trying to grasp what Christ was really trying to teach. Keep it up. The world needs more people like you from ALL groups.

You don't get it do you? saying gays have a lifestyle is hateful towards them, lifestyle implies choice like buying a BMW over an Audi like having blinds instead of drapes etc etc.
Just what is the gay lifestyle? Is there only one? come on saying you disagree with the gay lifestyle is really saying you don't like gays isn't it?
And thank you for not condemning me you sanctimonious hateful christian bigot.
No I don't think all christians are hateful, but I think this one is without even realising it and many others like her.
Angeltress is a sanctimonious holier-than-thou christian as well.

You are one out of every 5 christians that are like you. I have met many..... and i mean MANY so called christians and they were hateful, hipicritical and thought they were better then everyone else that didn't beleived or beleived different from them. Most of them think that they are right and thats it........ everyone should believe as them..... if they don't.... they are automatically going to h***. That is not a christian walk and you are unique and different from others if you are truely the way you say you are and live your life. Blessed be.

Because there are some people who claim they are Christians and do mean and hateful things. It's very sad but true and it makes other Christians who don't go around telling everybody they are going to hell look bad.

Christians , at least most christians, speak the truth and the last thing that a person living on the wrong side of God wants to hear is the truth. They think that by attacking us and choosing not to believe , it will not hold them accountable

I don't think people think christians are hateful or stupid. I think that the majoirity of christians come across as being closed minded and sometimes they believe their way is the only way. It is our God given right to believe in what we want to, no matter what it is.

not all are like you from what i have seen on here, but i know how people of christian faith are.i recently started following Islam i was a christian for many years and people were wonderful, but as soon as you get out of their little circle then they seem to become very different,.i have seen on here much judgment, sarcasism, alot of self pride.we all need to remember we present what we represent, and we may be the only link someone has to our religion and we may be the reason they run from it also
