hmmmm a muslim frnd...so u should giv him something that he will use most often. y don't u give him a pryer rug? he will use that very often....aummmmm a necklace with written "Allah" or "Muhammad" on it would be good too coz we muslims do wear it around our necks.....these are only few good suggestions i can come up with.....

Seriously...it should be something personal. A photo collection of good times, perhaps, or a memento. Perhaps a book or something appropriate to their hobby.

i would give him something that will help him to blend with the culture and remind him or you whenever he uses it...
i would suggest a Nargile or Sheesha
commonly referred to in america as a hookah.
a middle eastern water pope used to smoke Massal or Shisha tobacco.
