Although I have never had a "near death" experience, I have heard that many of the people who have such experiences often describe similar experiences and these experiences frequently cross race, curlural and religious lines. They frequently describe one or more of the same experiences after they are revived. These experiences include:
1. Walking though a tunnel towards a bright light (interesting foot note here is that children often describe walking across a small foot bridge toward the bright light - It is easier for them to understand).
2. Seeing loved ones waiting for them (and sometimes telling them to turn around because it is not their time).
3. Feeling weightless and unburdened.
4. Feeling total love - a feeling that does not exit here in this life.
5. Hearing the most beautiful music imaginable.
And finally, after they have been revived and stabilized, many of these people go through a depression perion which could last days, weeks or months. They attribute their depression to the fact that the came so close to this perfect place and now they are back in the world of negativity.

Yes, several years ago I was picking up a runner (bail jumper). I entered his home about 3 am, secured him for transport. Upon leaving his house his g/f shot me in the back, shoulder, leg, and arm with a 38 caliber pistol. I got the runner to my car, called 911 for help, when they got there I had lost almost 3 pints of blood, I don't remember the ambulance or the 1st week in the hospital. I did not have any kind of religious or out of body experience, just time loss. The woman that shot me recieved 20 years for attempted murder.

I had one while having open heart surgery. I dreamed I left my body and then found myself in a long hallway. In the distance I could see bright lights. The thought came to me if I continued on down the hall and into the light I would never feel pain again.
I looked over my shoulder and saw only darkness and understood that the darkness was the pain that waited for me if I returned. My beloved was also back there so I turned around and headed back.
The next day or so I told my husband about my weird dream. He told me that someone who had been in the operating room with me had told him they had to resedate me because I tried waking up way too soon.
I think what was behind it was the accounts I'd read about near death experiences and when I was on the operating table my subconscious replayed it for me. Throw in my determination to get back to my beloved and you have me trying to wake up to do so.

My cousin Linda did. She said she should have died then while having heart sugery they lost her for a time. She did live after that and said she saw her mom and sister waiting for her and they said hi then she was pulled back to earth. Well, she did die one year later at age of 47. May she rest in peace.

My Mother 'died' while I was being born. She said she rose up to the ceiling and could see the doctor and nurses and all the activity around HER, lying on the table. She later told the doctor what he said while she was supposedly 'dead' and he told her she imagined it all. She never spoke of it to me until I was grown.

I've heard of a woman in labor who was going to name her son Placenta just because she thought a light told her to.

Once, I was nearly bored to death in high school. Then, the girl who sat in front of me dropped her pencil. Instead of leaning over to pick it up, she stood up in her tight mini, bent over and.... well, suddenly, I wasn't bored anymore.
