It's amazing how our brains could create religions from scratch and then we pretended that they were real and we had to live by the rules of pretending. There must be a word to call that.

I strongly agree that God was created by man. And the reason for creation and life is there is none. Life has no universal meaning. We create our own essence. We create our own meaning, our own reason.

Gods were created sometime in the BC. First it was many Gods for many aspects of life, then later it was one God for every aspect of life. If you read the Bible you read that the one true God actually spoke to people, but if you study philosophy, you read that philosophers created Gods as explanations.

I think that people can agree and disagree that they are the ones who created God because it is a mystery that can never be solved. However, I do agree that people created God because God is something that we believe in. When we were children, we believed in Santa claus because he seemed real. I'm not saying that he doesn't exist nor am I saying he does. We don't know for sure because it still remains a mystery.

You're absolutely right.

In fact, in the book of Isaiah, the LORD (i.e. Jehovah) says that "you take some wood, use part of it to cook with, then you carve an idle. It has eyes but can not see; it has ears but can not hear; a mouth but can not speak; arms but can not touch anything; and feet, but can not move. These idols are stupid, and all those who worship them are just like them."

It reminds me of L.Ron Hubbards invention of dianetics and scientology, which he did on a bet, and yet people actually believe it as though it were true!

But God said that He, alone was God. He said that there were no gods before Him, nor were there any gods formed after Him. He alone is God and there is no other.

We may have created some of our religion but you can't argue that if asked, you would not be able to explain the reason for creation or life.Science can tell us how things came to be.But never why. That "why" is God.So, I disagree to a point. We created the concept of religion. But not the concept of creation. How could we have?We were not around when the Earth was formed.

I completely agree, religion was most likely created by a very convincing person with a mental disorder. He believed what he said, and other people liked the sound of it (paradise life after death). Its basically a really widespread, long lived fad.

I disagree. Anything people create is flawed. If you study the character if God, He is perfect and flawless. Anything we make up can't be like that.

We are seriously fallen people.......who are not capable of creating God.....that would totally contradict the whole essence of God, a SUPREME being......and we did not create religion....we were given religion from God.....and over time, people have put their own 'spins' on it, and religion has branched out from there...
