Wash all your clothes, linens, hair, body and get some lice spray at your pharmacy, or order on-line. Spary your house, bedding, and body. That ought to keep them out. Good luck!

First of all, head lice only live in clean hair so there is nothing to feel ashamed or dirty about.
Secondly having long hair is a down side where lice are concerned. Try to keep your hair tied back until you are clear of lice.
Head lice are very contagious so if you have them and live with others, the chances are, they will have them too. Lice can jump quite a distance so everyone in your family will have to have treatment.
Make sure you wash all your bed clothes thoroughly and any towels you use on your hair.
Carry on with the conditioner but use it everyday because it can stop them from sticking to your head and laying eggs.
When applying the conditioner use a really fine toothed comb and keep your head down over a bath or a sink as you comb through.
I have heard that vinegar works well because of the acid but it stinks to high heaven and I am not sure how good it is for your glorious locks!
Try to find a chemist becuase there are many good products on the market as Lice are very common. Don't be embarassed about it!!

Go to the drug store, and go to that section that sells hair lice products, buy the one that says it kills the nits(the eggs), too. Read the directions carefully, it can cause an allergic reaction. Buy a fine toothed comb, and comb the lice and nits out, also. And you might have to treat other hairy areas of your body, too. Again, read the directions on the product, and buy one that works for that.
If you have a store that sells over the counter medications, like Tylenol, vitamins, fungal creams, itch medicine, cold preparations, they probably sell lice removers.
You may have to treat your clothes, and bedding, and hats. They sell products for that, too. If you are not sure, ask the pharmacist at the drug store, he/she is not supposed to judge you, or tell anyone.
And don't be embarrassed, it is not that you are dirty, or unclean. You just got too close to someone with lice. Try to figure out how you got it, so you do not go near them again, did you borrow someone's hat, or sleep in a bed that wasn't your own? Or lean your head against the back of a chair?
Good luck.

Listen, the fastest and cheapest way to get rid of hair lice is to blow dry your hair very straight at a high temperature from the scalp to the ends of the hair. The heat will destroy them after that wash your hair and the dead lice and eggs will fall from the hair.
Continue the treatment every 2 days for about a week.

Head lice need to be removed. This is done without cutting hair, so don't worry. Your bedding will need to be washed in hot soapy water, including the pillows.
To rid yourself of lice, you need to get a lice removal kit. They are not expensive, and you can get them online. It takes a special medicine to get rid of the lice, and it isn't that hard to do. The lice kit will have a special comb in it, to pick the lice out of your hair. Please get this done, so you won't be embarrassed anymore. Lice can cause health problems, and be given to others. Nasty little things. Here's some information for you. Hope it helps.

you could drown them with an oil based product like vasaline or baby oil lice have little gills like fish this is why they dont die when yu wash your hair. They fall of on to yur clothes pillow, bedding etc... its mojre than just treating yur head yu need to wash all yur clothes, bedding in very hot water then put in dryer for long time if yu cant then put articles in bag and put in freezer for 48 hrs. it is most important to treat hair and belongings or thay will never leave. get some teetree oil and put a few drops in your shampoo bottle to prevent reinfestation. you need to pick out all the eggs (nits) or they will start to hatch a few days after yu kill the adults and it will start over again. your friends or some one close to yu have them too yu got them from somewhere so try to find out either tell the person so they can treat themselves too or stay far away from them. You can make the eggs more visable by dying yur hair with a red based dye this will make the eggs turn orangeish they are very small like the size of pin head if yu leave untreated they will spread into your eyebrows, lashes, crotch etc... good luck PS shaving off your hair will not help!!! dont do it. they love clean hair dont wash for a few days

RidX is very good, but you have to follow the directions, especially about washing your linens in HOT water. Make sure all the eggs are combed out of your hair with the little comb that is included. You may have to do this again in about a week or 10 days to get rid of all of them. Good luck.

Ok, you need to go to a drugstore or pharmacy and get some Quail Oil.
Rub this in your hair and it will kill the critters. You need to do it more than once because they lay eggs.
Also, wash all the beddings, sheets blankets pillows, and get a carpet cleaned and clean your furniture also, because they probably are everywhere now!!
You can also cut all your hair off..(yea,it works too, but its drastic), and that will take care of the eggs. Also, wash everyone elses hair in your home, because they probably have it by now also!
I wish you well..

There are medicated hair lotions in pharmacies. Do not shy from asking for it. This problem is very common, that is why you find such lotions for it. From where I came, our mothers used to put gasoline on our hairs and ask us to sit in the sun and use a very thin comb to comb our hairs. After one such treatment, the problem ends. Ofcourse, you have to keep bed sheets clean, with constant changing of pillow's cases. Also, you should not sleep on other people's beds. Lice transfer from person to another.
Don't panic.
