From start to finish about an hour. That includes breading it, make sure you rinse the chicken and pat dry with a paper towel before dipping in the batter or it will come off while frying. At 350degrees should take about 20 minutes. (350 is medium heat by the way) You can test for doneness by sticking a fork into the meatiest part and if juice runs clear it is done. If it is at all pink or red it is not done.

How Long To Fry Chicken

2016-10-30 00:18:03 · answer #2 · answered by ? 4 · 0 0

Hello...It takes from 25-30 minutes to fry chicken. Make sure to lower the heat 1/3 and cook with the pan covered for at least 10 of those minutes to insure that the meat is cooked all the way to the bone. Check by cutting to the bone on a breast or thigh piece. If you see any red or blood at all, cook another 5-7 minutes. Nasty salmonella and other bacterias like to live in chicken and can make you quite sick, so be sure! Enjoy that great fried chicken! I'll be thinking of breaking out my rotisserie.

It depends on how thick your chicken pieces are. It also depends on the amount of chicken you are going to cook. It should take about 30 min until done. You should take a fork while cooking and stick it in the chicken, if the juices runs clear it is done and if the juices are red then let it cook longer on medium heat until juice is clear. Tip: You should also make sure you cook the chicken evenly on all sides, although the chicken turn brown in color it doesn't mean that it is cooked.

40 - 50 minutes in a skillet. About 15-20 in a deep fryer. Cut into a piece to make sure it's done.

i also boil chicken before frying or putting it on the BBQ. It keeps in the moisture and iam sure not to make anyone sick with uncooked meat. Boiling chicken doesn't take long at all...10-15 minutes.

You have to fry chicken in deep grease for about fifteen minutes. Usually it will float to the top of the grease when it's done.
