Stoned would be the more correct term. Catnip is actually from the same family of plants as marijuana and yes, it does make cats a bit wacky.

They do get a little squirrely but they love it i plant some each year along the fence and my cats go for it every time. I used to have a great big tom cat and he would only roll in it, it was pretty funny.

Hi there...most cats become goofy when exposed to catnip. It is similar to when people are intoxicated with marijuana. It affects the brain so that they feel naturally good and sometimes makes them outright silly. It doesn't hurt them which is why it's alright to give it to them since they enjoy it too.
