Some times shots can leave a knot for a view weeks depending on if they hit a muscle instead of just under the skin.... but if it feels warm like fever, take it to the vet

Yes. Rabies shots go directly into the muscle and can cause a knot there. Similar to getting humans getting a tetnus shot. (OUCH) I had to have mine updated recently and it was hard and sore for over a week! (tetnus, not rabies!:P)

You should probably call the vet but my dog had this and the vet said if you just work the knot gently it should go down and it did.

it is normal for swelling to occur after an injection, however if this continues for another week and your dog shows any signs of stress, sickness or discomfort I would call the vet back or if the swelling doesnt go down within a week

Yes it's quite common. It will go away in time. No need to worry about it. If it opens up and drains then of course bring her in but that shouldn't happen at all.

I would call my vet and ask. I've never had that happen with any of the many pets I've had over the years. You should make that call!
