How to get government assistance??

Question

I have tried to get W.I.K. but they say I make too much money. I have two kids and a spouse that brings in money, but it never seems to be enough for all of our expenses like food, diapers, rent, pg&e, phone, etc. what should I do? I know that if one of us gets a part time job we will pay for it at the end of the year when we do income taxes. I feel like there is no hope. And it's not like I have screwed the government at any time of my life. I have been a good citizine paying all my taxes and I now need help and they reject me. What should I do???

go get a extra job, or part time job. or give up some trinkets like the Internet. government assistance is for the ones who really need it not the ones who need it to keep a happy play time existence, on the Internet.

maybe u should learn how to budget the money u do have or look into getting an extra job. u can start by looking at what extras u have right now that u don't need. instead of getting name brand, buy the less expensive store brand, etc. maybe instead of going out once a week, go ev. 2 weeks., etc. if u wait on the gov't, u'll be living under a bridge before they give u anything. just learn to cut corners and u should be alright.

Do not lie when feeling out papers but stretch the truth. When it ask for salary put your base not with ot. over-time is not always there but then again for some neither is 40. Try and talk to others about other assistance you may qualify for. Like housing assistance. Talk to more people about what other programs you may be able to get from free lunches at school to partial health care for the kids. Some times you need to work extra but also need to spend time with the kids to show them how to be. To much idol time and they will find trouble.

i am not sure what you can do but this is what i think about the system ..

those who could use it and need the help do not get it
those who do not need extra help get more then even appropriate - its sad .. i am sorry they did that to you :(

i have neighbors across the street that are living in the system and it does upset me .... they have more then enough money to buy groceries ( she brags she has three freezers full of food - yes she is over 400 lbs :( ) they have enough money to leave their home and go shopping almost every day ( we have all seen them come home with toys for the kids of the neighbors .. that is nice :P stuff for their vehicles and they have 4 cats and just got another dog ) -- did i mention they were able to purchase a car?!! - i know this because they told some of us neighbors about it its terrible

There's nothing you can do about our government right now. They suck. My wife and I just went through the same thing. It took them four months for them to let us know we were denied. We came up $10 over. We make too much money also. $10????????? We've had to ask our church for help. It's still not enough, but, it has helped keep us alive, and a roof over our head. Some ministries have food drives every week. Look in to that. That's really all I can tell you.

Our government has set us all up for dehumanization!!!

Get another job and give up the extras that you don't really need. It's time to buckle down and make ends meet until you get out of debt.

I know it isn't fun but sometimes we have to bite the bullet and do what we need to do to make it.
