I also love chihuahuas. I had one when I was younger and still miss her today. She raised a kitten our mother cat couldn't take care of. It surprised us that she was feeding the kitten. She loved to go on rides and went from Arkansas to Wisconsin with us.

Great Pyrenees
Top tier in dog intelligence. Big and Loyal, yet Soft and Caring. A Gentle Giant. This dog will protect you, your family, your pets, and your home, yet can be in a room full of newborns and not harm a single one. They are massive in size, yet eat moderately and do not require much exercise. They are happy in a home as a lap dog a lot of times as well.
The most admiring point is watching them at night. They are night dogs. They like to roam. They like to roam the yard and mumble. They talk to themselves. A sign of high intelligence in both humans and animals, except this animal actually talks to himself! Hahaha...
Very dignified. If you ever get to hang out with one, you will fall in love. Very different from most other dogs, in my opinion.

There's a story about a little girl who was looking for the perfect dog, but the one requirement was "puppy size".. so her mom would take her weekend after weekend to the local shelter to look for her perfect puppy, and she would go into the puppy pen, pick one up, hug it, and say, 'no, sorry, not you' and then she'd go on to the next one. Finally, after weeks of this, her father told her mom that this had to be the last weekend, because they couldn't keep wasting their time, looking for a puppy the daughter would never get, because they were all 'puppy size'. So the weekend came around, and the mother let her daughter go into the puppy pen and as she began picking up and hugging puppes, the mother went to talk to the shelter volunteer. Shortly, her daughter came running up 'I found him! I found him!' she cried, holding up a wriggling little puppy... and the mom said good, because she was beginning to worry the daughter would never find her puppy, because they were all 'puppy size'. "No, mom.. not puppy SIZE.... puppy SIGHS! I was waiting for puppy SIGHS. You told me that you and dad love me so much that when you hug me, your heart sighs, and I wanted a puppy who would love me that much, and when I hug him, he sighs, so he's the puppy I want!"
There's my favorite dog..... doesn't have to be a purebred, or a mutt, but it has to be the one who loves me as much as I love him or her! I don't think you choose your puppy, I think your puppy chooses you... and if they are going to be your companion for years to come, it's important to find the right one.
