All male animals have a foreskin. It keeps dirt from infecting the urinary tract, it prevents discomfort from rubbing or scraping against objects, it keeps the glans moist for intercourse and provides it's own lube. It also contains millions of nerve endings for pleasurable sex. There are many reasons why males have foreskins, but very few reasons to cut it off. That's why 90% of the world's population is INTACT, and why circumsicion rates in the US have now fallen below 50%, as people are finally aware of the truth regarding the barbaric practice.

The reason why God told the Israelites to cut it off is because they were traveling through the desert and they couldn't have a bath as regular as they would like so they would develop bacteria under there and therefore God told them to practice this. Just like how he told them to do alot of other things like to pass there faces outside of the camp and dig a hole for it. We don't have to do these things now though.

I think God told them to wash better, they did not so they had to be circumcised. All Gods Children then did. Those that were not God's did not,
now God says be washed in the Blood, Gods Children do, those who do not are not Gods Children ,the Circumcision is now in the Spirit not the Flesh,
The old testament taught in the flesh, the New Covenant teaches in the Spirit.

Good question.

File it away with why God put Nipples on MALES!

Maybe it's Darwinian proof we do come from animals, as when Animals have erections it comes out from under a sheath.

It is a product of evolution. Cutting it off often seems to be a primitive coming of age/unveiling thing.
