1/2 doz. eggs
1 qt. vinegar
3 tbsp. sugar
1 tbsp. salt
Boil eggs hard for 7 minutes (shell). Put in jars and pour the ingredients over them. If you want them to pickle sooner, heat your vinegar, then pour on them. This recipe can be cut down. Let set for 5 days at least.

My Family's recipe for pickled eggs:
6 hard boiled eggs peeled
1 can beets
1/2C to 3/4C sugar (depending how sweet you want them)
1cup apple cider vinegar
whole cloves
Drain off the beet juice into a measuring cup. Add enough water to make it 1 cup. Put the beet juice with water into a sauce pan add the vinegar, cloves, and sugar. Bring to a boil and simmer until the sugar is dissolved. Layer beets and eggs in a mason jar or any container. Plastic containers may stain. Pour Beet juice mixture over the beets and eggs. Cover and refrigerate for at least 3 days for the eggs to flavor. They are really good after about a week. (if you can wait that long) :) The beets are pickled in 24 hrs.
I don't care for beets but if you don't put them in the jar the eggs don't get as good of a flavor.
Enjoy!

These are kinda different. My Mom made them every spring with some of the left over easter eggs. Hard boil the eggs, cool, peel, and place in a large jar or plastic container. Add canned pickled beets to the jar, juice and all, adding enough cans to cover the eggs. Let sit in the fridge for at least 2 days, the longer, the better. The eggs take on a beautiful pink color and mild pickled flavor. The longer you leave then in the beet juice, the further the color goes into the egg. In a pinch, you can add equal parts vinegar and water to the canned beet juice to make it enough to cover.

Oh my gosh, i presumed i might in no way might desire to take heed to approximately pickled eggs as quickly as my dad died...To right this moment, i can not think of approximately Easter devoid of thinking with regard to the crimson pickled eggs he might make. It become this common: 6 - 8 no longer straightforward-boiled, peeled eggs juice from 2 jars of pickled beets. He'd get rid of the beets from the jars, placed them in a serving dish. next, stuff the eggs into the jar with the juice, reattach the lid, and refrigerate for 2 days.

There are different tastes/types of pickling...
My suggestion would be to pickle them in the juice of your favorite pickle, after you have finished the jar.
