Because non-believers are more used to thinking. Christians are taught cliches and propaganda. Many non-believers used to be religious and have had to learn critical thinking to break out of that mold.

i posted a question about a possible recovery time after having a broken pelvis and some guy started quoting scriptures and saying god has a plan for everybody...many people who consider themselves religous are just giving themselves false hope instead of providing a real solution...people should realize that that there is no reason whatsoever to think that anything from the bible or quran is remotely close to the truth...i feel sorry for those who spend their lives thinking they will burn in hell for eternity if they do not succumb to the crazy rantings or some cult leader whether it be a rabbi or a pastor or the pope

Saved might be the wrong word to use. Christians would say that any convert is saved. I think is is all a crutch for weak minds. Sad really that so many people spend so much time out of their lives concentrating on a fairy world instead of making the real world a better place.

Not all Christians do that. Only the bible-beaters do that. It's the people that attend the churches that truly believe anyone can speak in tongues and that roll around on the ground feeling "the spirit" in them. They are the most pushy people on the planet...in terms of forcing beliefs. Regular Christians respect other peoples beliefs.

I'm not Christian, and I quote the bible often in my answers (and some of my questions).
I suspect most of those who are Atheist/Agnostic are not as familiar with the Bible as I am, thus few (but not all) know the relevant quotes.
As I pointed out once, if you wish to communicate with Christians, it helps to know the language.

Heres a quote for ya "wont somebody somewhere please love me" Madeline ohair....hmmm sounds pretty lonely up there at the top of the I dont believe ladder, see no scriptures or cramming of faith it is apparent your heart has already been spoken to for you to have asked this question...and it was a good question at that.

One time I was choking on a fish bone and someone crammed some religion down my throat to dislodge it. I think it saved me.

No, To make people believe in what you say you must live it, show it to them you are so happy, then they tell them why. That is called telling the truth. If they do what your question asked they are people who need to get a life and stop blaming relion for there rotten choices.

The Bible is the Truth. We quote from it as a reference so people can look it up themselves instead of taking our word for it. The Bible is our back up . The Word of God. The Truth.
