The Bible did not mention dinasaurs because the dinasaurs were long extinct before the writing of Genesis, the first book of the Bible. People during the biblical times have not seen a real live dinasaur. There were some references to monsters, but no passage referred to a tyrannosaurus rex, specifically, because even the name for the t.rex was assigned to some dinasaur bones way way after the bible was written.

Because the bible was written a thousand years before the advent of paleontology. With the exception of the rare accidental find of fossil bones, they had no idea that dinosaurs existed. Since they couldn't imagine a creature that has an 18-inch pinky toe, they invented the idea of "giants roaming the earth".

I often thought about this... Some personal theories of mine(I didnt read this anywhere, i have just thought about it) are that they were destroyed in the flood. There is a species called the Nephilim mentioned before the flood that was a demonic form of humans meant to pollute the human race and it was destroyed. I have thought that there could be a connection there with dinosaurs. I forget what version it is mentioned in, but it truly is in there.

Because the term dinosaur itself is fairly recent. Only having come into use about two hundred years ago. So when writing two thousand years ago they couldn't have known to use a term that hadn't been invented yet. Though Job does talk about some animals reminiscent of Dinosaurs.

Good question! The Bible does not use the word "dinosaurs" but it clearly describes them in the book of Job Chapters 40 and 41. I can't believe so many people would tell you otherwise. Clearly they haven't read their Bible enough.

In Genesis 1, God created the Great beasts of the sea. The waters brought them forth. In Job, a description of a dinosaur called the behemoth, & a description of a fire-breathing dragon called the leviathon.

First, the Bible is neither a history book nor a biology text. Second, it was written by men...long before science was aware of the evidence that dinosaurs once roamed the earth.
Yes, Adam was given the opportunity to name all the animals, according to the story - but remember, dinosaurs were extinct millions of years before humans appeared, so he could never have seen one.
