Last night my boyfriend came over and we had dinner and watched a movie...I was drinking some wine...not getting drunk or anything...acting a little silly but once the movie was over I asked him to help me clean up the deck because we barbecued out there....Well he was huffing and puffing acting like a child....I guess he didnt want to help me..He was gathering his things to leave and I was just like why are you in such a rush to take off...and he was just like you are acting stupid and dumb....So he took off quicker than a flash. Grant it, i may have been a little tipsy but not ridiculous i barely ever drink...every once in awhile..and my friends have told me that my personality doesnt change i may just be a little more livelier...anyway, ive been around my boyfriend plenty of times while he has been hammered......It just really irritates me that he would treat me so unkind. Do you think i am overreacting? Today he just said I was being dumb.

2 possibilities:

1. He is unhappy because he thinks that you just called him over so you can get him to help you clean up the deck.

2. He is just a selfish and spoiled little brat.

You will have to look at the history of your relationship with him, and look in to yourselves to decide which one is the case.

Regardless by calling you dumb he showed that his inability at being articulate and explain himself in a clear manner, so that's one point off his maturity score chart already.

,its your boyfriend who's got the problem , sit him down and discuss with him as to why he thought it was you who was being dumb, just because you was a bit tipsy it appears there one rule for him and another for you i don.t think you are over reacting at all if anything its him who over reacted , and ruined a perfectly good night

You're not overreacting. He's being immature.

He should help you as well.

See this as a sign of future things to come if you ever move in together or get married.
