No, and it can get very frustrating. This is my second child (now 10 months old), and while I lost the weight easily the first time, it has not been so easy this time around. I nursed both babies (still nursing the baby), and while I am sure that has helped, it is not enough. It is harder to exercise with 2 - every walk, bike ride, etc, is at a 4 year old's pace.
It can be disheartening, especially when I am looking at buying another season's worth of "big" clothes. But even if I never lose the weight, the tummy, and the bust (yes, believe it or not, I do not like the added cleavage;)), it is definitely still worth it! My husband still thinks I look beautiful, so that helps me feel better about the weight.

Even if you NEVER get your pre-baby body back, you bore a child. You get the chance to mold our future. Men could NEVER deliver a child, most of us will agree our husbands were more than a little squeamish during the birth of our children. Try your best if you think its important, but even if the flab goes away, your stretch marks will stay. None of us ever will be anything other than a mom first. So flabby bellies and stretch mark are really almost a badge of honor. For the women that scorn, they either haven't yet born children or paid for plastic surgery. For the women who went perfectly back into pre-prego clothes, kudoos. They are a lucky breed. But PLEASE remember, being a mother does not mean you are imperfect, or unattractive, or less worthy of a sexy glance. Even the celebs have a hard time losing off the weight, and most of the time still use airbrushing on the abs.

Not many people get their pre baby body back. Unfortunately the stomach gets pretty stretched out. I got the same shape back after the first baby but I also got horrible stretch marks. I don't feel unattractive most of the time because my husband must be psychic. Every time I feel gross about a part of my body he happens to mention how nice that part looks. I swear that is the only time he can read minds.

I believe it depends on each mommy's pregnancy, but I know people that have 15yr old kids that still have to deal with "the belly". My daughter is 24 months and I'm back down to the size I was before she was born (although I still have a small belly - the clothes fit, but not like they used to kind of thing). The important thing that I found was not to look for the Super model body, but find a range comfortable for your own body type. I got back into my pre-pregnancy jeans (comfortably) and that was my goal that I accomplished.
What helped me was the South Beach Diet in combination with Billy Blank's Boot-camp. That thing itself will kick your butt into shape! Good Luck Chica! And don't give up!

I had my first son when I was 22 yrs old and at that time I weighed 135 I went up to 185 because I had preclampsia and gestial diabeties, 3 weeks after I had him I weighed 121lbs. At 26 I had my youngest son and gain 40lbs with him it took me a year to loose the weight which I did. Im 33 now and I weigh 125 and luckily dont look like I had children except my breast defenitly dont look the same. I do think though because Im older now and if I tried to have another kid I dont think Id be succsessful getting down to prepregnacy weight. The only thing though Im defenitly not as toned as I use to be but hey we cant have everything so Im not complaining.

Well I had my daughter when I was 21 and I weighed 103 before I got pregnant and now I am 121. I pretty much had a lot in my favor as far as already being skinny being young so I knew I was going to bounce back quick! But I do have the mommy tummy and I luv it! Cuz it isnt going anywhere! I actually love the extra weight I gained! I look great...you gotta love yourself!

Yes I do. Just had a baby in June. I don't know why but this is my second and I always seem to lose my weight. It always just falls right off of me. I don't know what I do. I suppose just now getting back an appetite is why. I clean my house too. I have a 6 year old boy that always needs something to do. ? I gained 45 with this one and 70 with my son. I was back down to 120 after having my son and that took a long 2 months. I was frustrated.

It took me four weeks to lose the tummy; eight to lose the weight and regain my figure. I couldn't exercise b/c I had a c-section as my son was Breech. However, I have lots of stretchmarks on my belly that I am very self-conscious about--and I'd only gained 20 lbs! I threw up severely for five months, and when I was starting to feel better, found out that I had gestational diabetes so I had to carb count. At least I didn't gain much weight. After we complete our family, I may get laser surgery to zap away the unsightly stretchmarks as I could get them on my back, thighs, and boobs as well if I gain more weight next time.

Not even close! I had twins 2 years ago and still havn't lost the weight. It was a terrible pregnancy and I was stuck in bed for 3months due to all the problems the babies were having. (They had a rare twin disorder...but we won;t go into all that) I gained 95lbs because of the bed rest and extra calories I had to consume to ensure the health of my boys. They are handsome, intelligent, and worth every pound!
So, no I do not have my pre-baby body back and yes, I hate looking in the mirror and avoid them at all costs, BUT I have a great man (their daddy) who loves no matter what and that helps more than you can imagine, :-)

I had my daughter 14 months ago, and I weigh 5lbs more than I did before ( I gained 36 lbs when pregnant). I was real thin before so the 5lbs is probably a good thing. By 3 months I was back in 90% of my clothes. My tummy and chest is not as firm as before, and I now have small love handles. Other than that it's no big deal.
