Not a thing (in common, that is) - Rosa Parks stood against injustice - Elvira Arellano is using the church to shield her from justice taking place. Elvira Arellano is no more than a common criminal - she came illegally, got deported, came illegally again and used a fake ssn. She belongs in jail (back in Mexico would be fine too, though).

Well, lets see.....
Arellano has been convicted of social security fraud.....Rosa wasn't....
Arellano has defied a prior court order and is under a new court order she is defying .......Rosa wasn't....
Rosa was standing up for her rights as a citizen under our Constitution....
Arellano isn't a citizen and had here rights already adjudicated, and is under a deportation warrant.
The law was on Rosa's side but people were unjustly not giving her her rights.
They are both women.
I guess that is a similarity.

Rosa Parks was a legal, working, taxpaying citizen of this country. True her ancesters were brought here against their will.
Arellano entered this country illegally two times. She has committed Social Security fraud. Rosa Parks was not in trouble with the Federal Government. Rosa Parks was woman enough to face her arrest without hiding out.

What I am wondering where is the father at ? Why want Elvira Arellano talk about him ?When ask where he is she refuses to supply an answer. As you notice her 15 minutes of fame is up.She's not that important of catch to begin with she just wants to be.I hope she stays holed up there for years. What about that kid, is he going to school or will he continue to be the bait?

Rosa Parks was a hero. Elvira Arellano is a criminal. I do not see any similarities. Please do not sully a hero's name by putting her in the same sentence as a criminal.

I applaud Elvira as a mother. I don't give a damn what anyone says, they are lying if they say they would leave their child. What choices does she have? Let's see. 1. She can load her child (a US citizen) on a plane and take him to a place that can't give him what he deserves to have considering he is Citizen. 2. Leave him to his fate.
When it comes to what is best for my child, it's hard for me to say I will always obey the law.
