This guy and I met about 6 weeks ago, we have gone on several dates, movies, golfing, bowling, group activities....I like him a lot. He is romantic and sweet and very attentive. He is taking it really slow meaning casual, we have only kissed, held hands and cuddled, which is completely fine with me. We are going to stay over in a hotel this coming weekend for a packer game, going to a wedding together and spending about 1 or 2 nights a week doing something together. He talks to me on the phone or through text almost everyday. I asked him to meet my parents, he was a little hesistant not sure if he will or not. I dont know what to think...he is not trying to get with me, taking it slow. Guys, what do you think I should do? He is not seeing anyone else, just taking it at a different pace then most guys? How do I handle this situation?

Sweetheart,

You are worrying over nothing. Enjoy the low pressure environment and easy pace. I dated my wife for nearly 6 months before we ever slept together (did lots of kissing and hugging though) and it gave us time to really enjoy ourselves with out complications. We took our time and were married 4 years later (been for 11 yrs this year).

As for the parents thing, that is always a nervous moment. Don't read too much into that. It's a bit like being under a microscope and everyone gets a little nervous about it (the first time)

Good luck to the both of you.

I wouldn't worry so much about what is going on. It's obvious that he likes you a lot and you are having a romantic time with him. I would continue to take it slow and wouldn't pressure him to meet your parents. Stay in the relationship if you like him, when the time is right, he will want to meet the folks. Until then, just take it one day at a time!

Interesting! I think you should let him know you're attracted to him & you just want to know if he feels the same way.

I thinks it's great that you guys spend a lot of time together & are building a nice friendship, if nothing else.

take it day by day, moment by moment...its better to take it slow...live in the moment...make the most and best of each opportunity to do something special with him...don't rush anything...don't continue to guess about things or over analyze what he does or doesn't do on your time...talk about about it...express yourself to him...and take it from there...
