Good Idea! That will help out a lot of your thickness. You can even get it thinned out to take some weight off. Remeber when the layers are cut high, your hair will flip outwards and when your layers are cut low, your hair will go under. I think that will help you in telling your stylist what type of layers you want. Have fun with your hair. Be creative. Hope this helps.

I have extremely thick hair...My stylist loves it...I get my hair cut in layers and it really brings a lot of life to and body to may hair.
The down side is that it is high maintainence...you must style your hair everyday.
But really the cut is great for thick hair.

Layers would look wonderfu! But find someone who can really cut hair (good). And you could had color too. I went blonde highlights and it gave me a boost I never expected.
