I mean, people keep going on about how bad it is; why continue? Do some people WANT to continue having worsened health and more deaths per year because of these terrible and disgusting things? And also, who makes them? Is it an actual job to make these small (yet powerful) killers?

Because the government realized they could put a tax on them--and make a huge profit...I mean think about it...why is alcohol legal? That also kills millions of people-namely due to drunk driving, liver disease, etc...and they still sell alcohol....I think it's pretty ridiculous myself--we all know for a fact that cigarettes are both addicting and kill people (such as my grandmother), but in the end it's as simple as this--we cannot control what is legal or not by ourselves, but we can make wise decisions--and the people that are choosing to smoke and make themselves ill and give themselves health issues, etc...are doing just that THEY ARE CHOOSING TO SMOKE..so in the end it can be blamed on no one but the person themselves and the decisions they've made.

Because people who are greedy do not believe in or have morals they just go with whatever is making them money and cigarettes are making many powerful people all across the globe a lot of money! It is ridiculous and should stop it is like getting rich off of the hurting of others!

Even if some tobacco companies shut down, they would still make millions. Kraft and Kool Aid are just two out of hundreds of companies owned by a tobacco industry. So when you go out and buy your Kraft Dinner, the tobacco tycoons are still making money.

Because the production and sale of cigarettes are BIG business. They give millions of dollars to our elected officials to guarantee that they will be able to continue selling cigs and making billions of dollars ruining stupid peoples health.

Money,money,money.. And the government keeps getting richer..As for us smokers,we have smoked for years,I personaly enjoy a good cigarette.. Please don't call us names and knock our habit..After all everyone does something that is not cool to others.. We still have sex with all the terrible dieases (With no cure) in sight. Some use drugs and become crazy from them. ,some rob,rape,even kill while under thee influence. Smokeing has never caused anyone I know to become violent.. We are all going to die anyway in one way or another,so just don't be so superior to us smokers,, Thank you..

If you think you are mad, think about those of us who started smoking when we were 16 years old..........we didn't know it was bad and neither did our parents..............that was 48 years ago...and the tobacco companies keep pushing them to young people ......does the govt. care????????????? Hell no!!!!!!!!!!!! Big bucks!!!!!plus a lot of the administration and senate guys have their money invested in the tobacco buiness.
