My mother in law was talking to me the other day when she accidentally spat on my face, I got really embarrassed knowing it was on my face but I didnt dare wipe it off till she went. what should i have done and what would you do?!

You make a joke like ' ooo is it raining?' or ' Do I need to get the umbrella out' No Im kiddin, theres no way of telling her because whatver you come out with its going to sound rude, you married the son so unfortunately rain or shine you have to take it. good luck

I would've kindly told her that she spat in my face and nine times out of ten she would've been embarrassed but apologized. If she denied it, I would've gone off because that's disgusting.

Laugh, wipe it off and say, "Hey, Mom, could you say it and not spray it?" -- she probably knew she "sprayed it", but was embarrassed, and didn't say anything.

Anyone else, I would have let it go. But my mother in-law! I would kill to embarrass her even over a little thing like that! I would have said "Eww, you don't have to spit on me." Or something like that.

had a teacher at school years ago with the same problem. We used to put up umbrellas when she walked in...might be a little offensive to somebody so close to you though.

laugh and say 'you just spat on me then' because she probably knew she di it but was embarassed too so it gives her the chance to laugh and say' ooh did i, sorry'
