FDA just approved 'the morning after pill' to be sold over the counter to adults 18 and over and with a prescription for anyone under 18.
Do you consider this to be a good thing or a bad thing? Why?

good, cause everyone makes mistakes. bad, cause eveyone is going to use it all the time like it's no big deal, and it is a big deal. espeically the young kids who r having sex that shouldn't be. and u know all the side effects, what is that gonna be? is gonna mess u up later for you, when u r ready to have a child? there's so many questions with this pill. fda doesn't care about the ppl only the money...

I think it's good and bad. Good in a way because sometimes sh*t happens. And bad because girls will think "oh, I can have unprotected sex and just take the pill afterward". Not realizing that they are totally missing the point that they can contract a serious desease. It's almost the same as a girl thinking "oh well, if I get pregnant I'll just get an abortion". No, no!

I have mixed feelings about your question. It is good for when people have unprotected sex, however, I think it is a bad thing because if you are going to have sex, you shouldn't rely on a pill to take care of a "problem" should you or your woman get pregnant. I mean if you are going to stick it out, then stick by it..........

I think that it is OK for the right reasons. But I also think that alot of promiscuous women will be taking advantage of it and this will cause future problems with their bodies and eventually with the FDA. then it will removed from over the counter and it will be very hard for people that actually need it to get it!!!!

It's both. It's a good thing for people who've done something stuupid, or had some kind of accident. But it's not gonna work if young people consider it a form of contraceptive.

It is good thing, the child should be born wanted and loved, how many are born because of broken condom or neglect to use condom. The alternative like an abortion is much more damaging for the woman health.

Well I think it is bad because a lot of women will begin using it as regular birth control now. It has a huge dose of hormones, and it really isn't good for you! I just hope they don't mess their bodies up too much, which could very well happen with abuse of this drug.

I think it may be good and bad. Good because now more girls can avoid pregnancy but bad because now girls may say "oh i dont need birth control or condoms because I just can go get a morning after pill."

I think it's a good thing, If you don't want kids its alot better to stop it before it happens rather than killing it a month later after its started to develop.
