I am thinking of buying a used car, either a Honda Civic, Toyota Carola, or Hundai Elantra.

I have narrowed it to those three. Please consider it WILL be used.

Toss out the Elantra, it doesn't belong in this esteemed company.

If you didn't know anything about their reputations, which car do you like better, the civic or the corolla? go with your gut instinct, because quite frankly, unless one of them was found in a flood or something like that, you can't pick a bad one.

there really is only one good choice here,,and that is the corolla,i own a repair shop,,and i have to say there really good vehicles,,i don't get many to work on,,so this tells me they hold up good,,i do a lot of Honda,s,,and a few Hyundai,s to repair,,but the corolla seems to go a long time before needing repair work done,,and they also are good on gas,,which seems to be the topic,,these days,,and i have compared the insurance rate on Toyota,,,as compared to the Honda,s,,its a lot less on a Toyota than it is on a Honda,,i hope this help,s,,good luck car buying.

Some ( most ) of CIVIC are heavily abused. Easy to find Toyota in a good shape. Hyunday is worth the prices and can be significately cheaper.

I would pick a Japanese made car because they tend to last a lot longer than other cars. I would pick the Toyota Corolla personally. With that said, you have to see what kind of shape that car is in. A well-taken cared American car will be better than an abused Japanese car.

Elantra, the others are going to be raced by kids in the week end and probably burnt out. Cavalier, cheap to repair of a Escort ZX2.

Civic, you don't see too many old carollas running around these days. A civic will run until after you die
