Perhaps pro illeagls have missed the last three years and the continuing layoff of Americans? Perhaps pro illeals doesn't realize that there are millions of Americans who would gladly work on construction sites, landscaping crews, and other small and large businesses? The current economic conditions and the continuing use of illegals by American companies just proves that the slogan "They do the jobs no one else wants to do" is the lie it always has been.People have created a world of lies about the "poor illegal." On most construction jobs they are paid very well. They don't really pay taxes because employers encourage them to put down at least eight exemptions.Also, we do not depend at all, on illegal alien labor. As a matter of fact, if I or my family need to eat and pay the bills, I'd work any job to make it happen, even the jobs your type say Americans won't do. Illegal aliens allow businesses to bypass the American worker by employing illegals at substandard wages. Don't worry, be happy. But their sentimental hogwash won't cut it for long. Sooner or later, when our national economy turns sour, and overpopulation literally chokes us, we Americans will find ourselves living no longer in America, either politically or economically, but in a scarcely recognizable Third World nation of half a billion people. By 2200, maybe a billion-right you are, spelled with a "b.Oh, they want a better life for their families. So do bankrobbers or thieves of all kinds, but that fact does not excuse them from the law. "Unauthorized immigrant workers pay taxes." So what? Should illegal aliens not pay taxes? If they didn't they might not be able to get any employment at all.

Mexican Pride you are a stupid *****. Mexicans get chosen because they work for cheap. They also arent the hardest workers out there either. There are many hard workers in all races and lazy ones in each race. My father who is Italian and immigrated here 26 years ago is 68 years old. He is still working hard doing landscaping with my brother for a living. A few years ago he used to work at a country club in the grounds department. There were a lot of mexicans working with him and he outran all of them because he was much of a harder worker than them. They also would tell him that he is a very hard worker. These mexicans were in there 20's and my father is in his 60's. You should see my father work, he never stops and is always moving fast. So dont praise mexicans and say they are the only hard workers cuz it aint true for nothing. You need to get a life you stupid asshole.

No i'm not tired of it just puzzled that people don't see or understand the complexity of the issue.In a sense it is just the common folks turning on the common folks while major companies quietly move their operations out of the country.True if the illegals didn't do the jobs others would but at higher wages,then budget cuts,layoffs,and finally the big exodus of companies to others countries where labor is cheaper and environmentalist scare.Truly a tangled web.Peace.

Okay, tell me where you are going to get 13million Americans to take their jobs? Also are you ready to pay a lot more for things like food? Myth or no, getting rid of 13 milllion people will devastate our economy. They spend billions that will no longer be spent. Think before you go off half ******. Millions of Americans will be laid off because 13 million people will no longer be here to buy houses, cars, food, etc., things that keep our economy going. You are not thinking at all. Most of the layoffs in Ohio, where I live are not because of illegals, the jobs have moved to China and India. Ohio is number 1 in job losses since 1995 amoung the 50 states. Illegals are not the problem, greedy conservative businesses are.

Yes I am very tired of that myth....what they mean by they will do the work most americans wont is....they will do it at minimum wage......see they come here and work at minumum wage on every public assistance possible and then they live in the worst conditions possible so that they can save up every penny they send money home to their families and then they live here for ten years and then after that ten years is up....they are now an amercan citizen and they take their saving and go home and build a half million dollar house and live for free for the rest of their lives....I actually told my bf after we start saving up for a house we are better off moving to mexico and live for free forever in the beautiful weather......but I dont think I want to learn another language...LOL

I would rather pay for an illegal child to go to school than a no good for nothing child rapist and murderer to live bill free for the rest of their lives in our prison systems.

Oh and by the way, thousands pay taxes that they never ever will receive back.

Whether there are illegals here or not, our economy is screwed anyway.

the only myth is when people say that illegals are costing Americans their tax money......
--they contribute more to the economy so it makes up for it.

that illegals hate America..
--if they hated it, they wouldn't be here

that illegals are a threat to the US..
--you can't consider it a threat when the majority is out there working and making each city work properly by working in construction, food, landscape, sewers, etc..

that illegals are taking advantage of free welfare and foodstamps..
--you need to have proper documents to get those benefits. I believe the majority on free services were African Americans, perhaps caucasians.

that illegals don't want to learn English
--of all the illegals that I know, about 90 % go to school or buy books to learn the language...they don't speak it perfectly, but it's understandable..

Perhaps you have not researched as well as you think. Here in Texas, Houston actually, the BP went to a landscaper company and emptied his work force. He complained in court, lost of course, and was told by the judge to advertise in the newspaper, that there were many Americans looking for jobs. He did, and sure enough one man showed up for work. He quit at lurch time. Months later as he was about to go bankrupt he decided to hire illegals again. This time he improved his security methods of hiding them. His sister, who also works for him, is my friend.

Add to that the fact that most of the money these people do make isn't going back into our economy, but the economy of whatever country they are from because they send it all back to their families. Why should they need it??? They are living off of the taxes the rest of us LEGAL residents and citizens pay. So, sure, go ahead and take a job away from an American and send the money home to grandma!

Angela R why do you fear change? this is all you say and I've seen many of your posts today. so why do you fear change? why don't you and your friends go back to Mexico, overthrow your government and make your country a better place. i know this isn't easy but it's better than running away.
i agree with you that freedom makes a country great and by stopping illegal immigration we are continuing to ensure that our citizens remain free from oppression

Apparently our politicians and corporations think so, American Employers keep hiring them (And yes they know it is illegal) And our politicians look the other way and refuses to seal our borders.

Americans are the root cause of all the problems you list above.
