I have to potty train my son who is 2 years old, but I have no idea on who to start the process. Any body in the similar situation?

Good news. This process is a slow and sometimes mystical one, but I can tell you from experience, it will magically resolve itself if you follow in some fashion these steps: We started putting our son in those little underpant-diapers which gave us a certain level of security while we trained him. Second, we began introducing him to the toilet at consistent times throughout the day so he would begin to make the association himself. It helped that we had a pretty good idea when he needed to go, and could anticipate at short notice the need for immediate behavior modeling! This is probably the hardest step because one never knows when it (bladder control) will kick in, but you must be patient. When my son turned 3, he made an announcement that he would never need another diaper. With the exception of a couple accidents since then, this has been true for the last 4 years (now that he's 7, there are no more accidents, unless he is very sick, which, thankfully, is rare). Best of luck~

I have a daughter who will be turning 2 next month. The best advice I can give you is this. I first bought her favorite cartoon character underwear. Then her favorite drink. I loaded her up with as much as she would drink and then took her potty every few minutes. When she finally went I clapped and make a huge deal. I sang and praised her repeatedly. Still when she goes potty she claps and says yay!! My sister took cheerios for her son and put them in the potty and made a game told him to aim at them. Keep trying to potty train sure their will be accidents but with everything its a process after you get peeing undercontrol then they have to learn to poop. Also buy a toilet ring that folds up keep it in your purse for public potties. Hope this helps Good luck!

i read this once.
have a chart system
each time ur child goes potty on the little potty give them a point. after 3 points buy them a new toy such as a ball, stuffed animal or a doll or bear. 3 times for pottying for a 2 year old is a great achievement. next raise it to 4 times. and always remember that accidents happen so have a swiffer mop ready. and after he/she is fully trained take him/her to chuckie cheese. it may be loud with the noise but the child will be so proud and will go to sleep great that night. good luck!

Summer time is the best time to potty train, you can leave the child in regular underwears. Tell him his a big boy now, an he can do it!
Reward him everytime he tries. At night time, don't put his diapers on, just protect the cribb or bed with waterproof blankets, is going to bother him when he feels wet.

Don't give him any drinks two hours before bed time. Make him go potty before you put him in bed. He'll probably have two or three accidents before he understands he needs to go to the bathroom.

I works.

BTDT (been there, done that)
1. Put a potty chair in the bathroom, but don't say a WORD about it. Let him play with it, ask about it, drag it all over the house, whatever.
2. A couple of weeks later when you undress him for a bath ask him if he wants to try to tee-tee in his own potty? If he says no, let it go. Ask again next time.
3. Read him some good children's books about pottying.
4. Then sit back and wait.....he won't go to kindergarten in diapers......I guarantee it.

I potty trained my son. I would take him to the bathroom with me and tell him this is how you do it. It worked real quick cause it made him feel like a big boy. So if there is a male in your life have him help.

EASY!

There are a few ways you can try... the first is to put a cheerio in the bottom of his potty chair and play "shoot the cheerio" or you could take off his diaper, and put him on the potty chair in front of his favorite show... if he makes a mess, make him clean it and put the soiled papertowels into the pottychair... this will show him where this stuff goes.

Good luck, and patience is the key. I hope this helps you!

When it was time to potty train my daughter it was fairly easy to do. I went out and bought her some "big girl" underwear and explained to her that if she wanted to be able to wear these then she was going to have to use the potty. It took her a few days to catch on to it but after that we never bought diapers again.

I don't believe in using pullups--just another name for a diaper. I let my boys walk around the house in just a long shirt and asked every so often if they needed to go. They used the potty before we left to go places, in the places, and before we left them. Don't yell and try not to get frustrasted. Every kid learns at their own pace. Have patience and tell him what a big boy he will be once he learns to use the big boy pot. Good luck !
