I have no idea where you got your information but it is wrong. Kids in Europe are not allowed to start drinking at 13. The age is 18.

in case you may die on your united states at 18 try to be able to have a drink. user-friendly. what's the balloting age in the united states? An 18 3 hundred and sixty 5 days old is a guy no longer a baby, you ought to danger him like the guy he's. per chance mum and dad like you're the rationalization the united states is a rustic of perpetual children, who oafishly snort at nudity, won't be able to have a lager without falling around the floor, a rustic which looks to stay in comprehensive worry of the international round you.

You may not start drinking at the age of 13 but in Europe it's much earlier than in the USA.
My experience is that when you may drink some alcohol with your parents, you will learn to limits. A friend of my was forbidden to drink but when on a trip with the school, he was always drunk because he didn't know when to stop.

I believe the earlier they start drinking, the more they wont abuse alcohol as they grow older, because the younger they start the more the will not tend to drink alot. Whereas in the US where underage people tend to drink, and abuse thier priveleges once they turn 21. Also it is more of a risk taking thing for underage people.

In some European countries kids learn to drink wine with their meals. They don't do it to get drunk, but it's considered good for their health, good digestive for a nice meal, and always in the presence of parents. Kids don't drink spirits.
It's not done to encourage drinking, but to teach them how to drink moderately while being a nice compliment to a meal. It's not to teach them how to get drunk.
However, kids under 21 or 18 (depending on the country) are not allowed to buy any alcohol.

America has to many laws.Responsible drinking is like anything else, if you abuse the privilege you lose your right to enjoy it.The europeans have embraced this concept for years especially the french & italians. My wife is french and she was introduced to spirits(mostly wine) at an early age.Now she drinks at weddings & some holidays but mostly she abstains, where as I coming from a strict religous upbringing where alcohol was forbidden drink like a fu#king fish.

it's a question of culture here in Belgium we have a history and tradition of beer. In a cafe you can drink beer already if you are 17 years. But it has to be with manners.
You can say it's a bit like in America ( in some States )there the children can have gun before they are allowed to drink beer. It's also a question of culture

Because The Puritans did not corrupt all of Europe before they left, into believing it is taboo. The only reason there is a problem with drink, in the U.S. is because we are taught to believe it is taboo. And then we want it more. Kinda like when you wanna take the wife in the brown eye and she says "NO",,,you just want to more.

Because if you never drink until you are 21, once you start drinking you never stop. Start early and it gets old, so you won't do it for long (hopefully).
