i am thinking of getting a weiand 6-71 or 8-71 supercharger for my '69 dodge charger. which one would be better for mostly street and alittle strip? can i run 7-11 lbs of boost on pump gas with a stock 383? if not, what will i need to do to the engine specifically to run it on that? Any suggestions? Thanks, John.

i would goto a 426 hemi myself because its a much better engine to supercharge. better overall performance than 383

Low compression pistons in the 7.5 to 1 range 6/71 blower will provide plenty of boost or under the hood sleeper style whipple charger or procharger with intercooler the latter two would be my choice and up to 14 pounds of boost for an amazing 600+ rwhp don't forget to strengthen the driveline.
