Does generic Raisin Bran taste just as good as Kellogg's?

Question

I ask this because the generic brand costs about half of what Kellogg's costs, so if there is no difference, I will start buying generic. If there is, then I will continue paying for Kellogg's. What do you think?

i love rasin bran and have tried different brands none of them have come close to tasting as good as kelloggs brand most that i have tried the flakes are dry or not crunchy..

The 'store brand' at loblaws (a chain here) is actually much better then kellogg's, imho. I'm sure some are worse.

If its half the price, why not try it once, and see? Worst case, you've wasted the equivalent of half a box of kellogg's. Best case, your cereal costs are cut in half from now on.

I prefer Kellogg's, but my sister & her children like generic. Matter of taste, but I go for the real deal when it comes to raisin bran.

To me I would still buy the Kellogg's because I have bought generic before, and the raisins were hard and tasteless, the bran was o.k. but still didn't rate to the original.

No, it deffinitely does not. I crave Raisin Bran after I go on long runs. Imitation Raisin Bran makes me angry, it does not satisfy my raisin bran 'needs.' However, I am a big fan of Target brand cereals. So I recommend that you try the Target Brand Raisin Bran and get back to us on that one.

I think it's a matter of personal taste. My dad always bought generic and I hated that. I think that brand that's in bags on the bottom shelf, I think it's called Malt O Meal or something is pretty good. Try that.

I like the generic brand sometimes. the price is better too.

I think it tastes as good if not better. And there is no difference in quality or effect.

Taste the same,i got 3 teen-agers who love it--but on the other hand they are teen-agers who will eat anything LOL.
