Do muslims think the inspiration (Allah) is a better writer than the one (God) who inspired the Bible?

Do Mormons think the inspiration to Joseph Smith is a better writer than the one (God) who inspired the Bible?

daisykristina, It is written in the mormon book that it is the best book written. So the writer assumes it is better than the bible. Other Mormons think it's better.

To me, the Holy Bible is the Word of God & is best. Any one who changes what God meant is + or - the Word of God.

BobbyD, The bible is a combination of books inspired by the same God. The bible was written by different prophets of the LORD God. John, the beloved disciple, was a prophet of the LORD God, who received the revelation from the LORD. Jesus Christ is LORD. The same LORD of the old testament prophets.

A true prophet of God is of the True God. So the True God is the best source of a Good Book.

tonyamail2002, The Mormon book changes the Word of God written in the bible. For instance, Mormons believe Jesus & Lucifer were brothers. Jesus said, "I AM the first & the last." Genesis 1 (first) In the beginning God... Rev. 22 (last) The Grace of our Lord Jesus Christ... That is why you think the bible is not the same as when the books in it were first written. The Mormon book contradicts the Bible.

Princezelph, Thanks for correcting me. The Mormon book writes it is "more correct" than the Bible. Truth is the Bible is the same today as it was yesterday. There is evidence. Just check the internet for evidence of bible accuracy.

I have tested Joseph Smith to see if he was a true prophet of the LORD God (as the bible directs). He failed the test. You know where false prophets go, right?

aardvark, Jesus fulfilled the law & the prophets. Jesus is the Word of God that came from heaven to earth. He is the First & the Last. The OT saints had a levitical priesthood. The NT saints have the High Priest Jesus after the order of Melchezidek. The OT & NT do not contradict. They are both the Word of God.

I think someone is very bitter due to how she leads her life and feels justified in attacking others beliefs. But to answer your silly little question.

Joseph Smith did not say it is the best written book ever. He said, "I told the brethren that the Book of Mormon was the most correct of any book on earth, and the keystone of our religion, and a man would get nearer to God by abiding by its precepts, than by any other book." What he is say is that the Doctrine is more correct, the Bible has been around for a very long time and interpollutions have either accidently found it's way into it, or by corrupted priests have changed it.

The Book of Mormon was inspired by God has was the Bible. On the Title page it states, "Written by way of commandment, and also by the spirit of prophecy and of revelation Written and sealed up, and hid up unto the Lord, that they might not be destroyed."

Further down it states the purpose, "And also to the convicing of the Jew and Gentile that JESUS is the CHRIST, the ETERNAL GOD,"

Did you miss these two statements or did you just skip over and twist what Joseph Smith said, to make him to be a liar and a con man. REPENT.

Even if you don't believe in "Mormonism", please realize that we do not believe Joseph Smith wrote the Book of Mormon, we know/believe that he translated it. We believe that he translated it from another language that does not exist any more. We believe that the people who contributed to the Book of Mormon were inspired by God, the same God that inspired those who contributed to the Bible. The reason we believe it is the best book ever written is because unlike the Bible, the Book of Mormon was translated only once - from the language of the Nephites into English. Because the Bible was translated many times before it even reached the Latin language, and because each time it was translated it "lost a little in translation", because of this, we believe that while the Bible has many truths and is scripture, it is missing some very important truths, and is only scripture as far as it is translated correctly. And we believe that these missing truths are found in the Book of Mormon.
And to address your misconception that the Book of Mormon isn't true because it adds to the Bible when the Bible says not to add to it, the Book of Mormon doesn't pretend to ADD to the Bible. The Book of Mormon does not and has never been added between the covers of the Bible. It's never been printed under the guise of being the Bible. It does not introduce new principles not found in the Bible. It does clarify those principles, it does help those principles be better understood, but it does not introduce new principles. Nor does it say that there are principles contained in the Bible that are not true. On the contrary, it supports the Bible, it's another testament of the teachings of Christ. It provides clarity of Gospel principles. It does not pretend to take the place of the Bible.

Clarification: Mormons also believe the Bible to be the word of God. Okay, that being said, did you know that the book of Revelations was chronologically written before some of the other books in the New Testament? I believe that verse is talking about the book of Revelations specifically, and that conjecture seems confirmed by the Book of Mormon when the ancient prophet Nephi, had a similar vision about the end of the world, and says he was about to write it down, but he was strictly forbidden because only one person was given permission to write about it (and that was John).

I love having additional words and teachings from God, and Jesus, both the Bible and the Book of Mormon have been a wonderful influence in my life. I don't think one is necessarily "written better" than the other, I'm very grateful for both of them!

Best wishes.

The only place I've seen anything about adding or removing anything was in Revelation. Keep in mind that the Bible did not exist as a book at the time Revelation was written. The Bible became a collection of several books and letters long after the authors of those books died. Are you saying that everything in the Bible other than the book of Revelation is false? Are you further saying the because God said something to one group of people that he is required to never say anything to anyone else?

Please take another look at Mormonism.

The Bible promises there will be a restoration of all things -- which will come after the "times of refreshing" or the reformation. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is that restoration. Every Bible-believing Christian should rejoice that Peter's prophesy has been fulfilled, that that long awaited, promised day has come.

John the revelator saw our time in vision, and saw an angel bring the gospel of Jesus Christ back to the earth. If it was not lost through apostacy, John would never have written such a thing, because there would be no reason to bring it back. Again, the Bible is true, that prophesy is accurate, and the gospel has been brough back to earth by an angel. His name was Moroni, and the pure, sweet, unspoiled gospel is contained in the Book of Mormon.

All this I found out for myself after nearly a year of prayerful investigation. I commend that course of action to you, because I have never been happier!

I follow God through his Son (Jesus) through the Church that Jesus started (Catholic) that pre-dates the New Testament.

With the perfect example Jesus gave of Love, Peace and Redemption, I see no reason to follow Muhammad back to the Old Testament.

Peace!

There is no scripture that says do not add or take away from the Holy Bible, because the Holy Bible didn't exist until around 300 BC. In the Book of Revelation, it says no man should add or take away from this book, refering to the book of Revelation.

It's also regularly believed among BIble scholars that John the Beloved wrote the Gospel of John after the Book of Revelation, which according to your interpretation would be adding to the Bible.

It also says that "man" should not add. If God wanted to give His children more scriptures, don't you think that he is entitled to do that?
