Hey, I've been working out for a little while now and just recently heard that running and/or jogging after your workout will take away the muscle you're trying to build, is this true?

people who run/jog a whole lot do often end up losing some muscle mass, but that's mostly because they don't do any strength training to counter this. if you run/jog for 20 min or so after weightlifting, i wouldn't worry about losing mass. but you don't want to get into any long distance running. think about what cross country runners and marathoners look like. super lean, but not a whole lot of muscle. if you're really concerned, just keep the running to a min (no more than 3 x per week and no longer than 20 min per run). if you eat enough and keep up with the lifting, you'll be fine.
