i was on a site that sells hijabs and they offered "halal" make up i never heard of it before..why would make up not be halal? nobody ever told me this before if anybody knows more information please let me know....salam!

Yes, the animal by-products... so the halal makeup does not contain any of this.

Other posters: Hijabis do wear makeup with their husbands and families. Just not out in front of other men.

They're allowed to look nice too!

I dont know about halal make-up. i do know that women shouldnt wear make up and show itto strangers because it's fitna.. they should only wear it to their husbands... there is a verse in Quran that says so (i'll try to find it for you)
the thing that is considered halal is kohl but mainly because it's good for the eyes not because it's make-up

the only make up considered as Halal which made from hinna and should only for married women to be shown only for thier husbands

i think what the site means by halal make up is that most make up products use animal remains .. mac, avon ,etc. so some people beleive that that make up is haram and we should not be using it on our skin. so thats why its called halal make up

Not sure of its true but some cosmetic products could be using animal fat and naturally perfume and such things contain alcohol.

Normally the Religions won't let women wear makeup.
But if it makes money for them they will sanction the use of this kind of make up only.
It is all about the money

May be some make up ingredients are made up from pork derivatives.

make-up is halah.but we cant use any make-up that contains pig fat.
