Example, to have physical withdrawl symptoms when they're not around, to feel depressed when you don't see them, to have a stomach ache...etc.

Certainly, for instance: I am addicted to my wife, she is addicted to food, therefore we eat during sex. I only have stomach aches when I hear from Liberal idealist.

That's a very healthy way to put that. You're right. It is an addiction. Some people confuse this with love and it turns into a very unhealthy relationship.Make yourself busy when this person is around and definitely don't block out your friends. You need them to keep you occupied.Read a book,go for a walk or even rent some chick flicks.Just stay busy and you won't even realize he's gone!

Sorry to get all medical, but what you describe is a painful, awful condition called co-dependence, especially if you have physical symptoms. You should be able to be away from your beloved, and miss them, of course..but to be so focused on them that you feel shaky, super upset, bitchy...whatever, if you don't see them or hear from them is sign you are not getting enough of what your co-dependence needs. No worries, co-dependence is hypnotized into our heads with love songs , stupid TV shows, and basically things not reality based. IF your object of affection is distant, that will make your compulsion worse..and that's called stalking. ;-)

Yes most definitely! Especially if sex was involved.
When you make an attachment especially through sexual intercourse you will find a oneness and the separation can be truly unbearable in many ways. It passes with time but it can surface at anytime because of the attachment with that person even if you are in another relationship.

I think physically addicted is when this person next to you you 're loosing your head without actually being in love. But if you miss someone very much, than if could be emotional addiction

YES, I DO BELIEVE IT IS POSSIBLE TO BE ADDICTED TO SOMEONE, AND IT IS NOT A GOOD THING................BECAUSE IT ALLOWS FOR THE OTHER PERSON TO SEE HOW NEEDY YOU ARE AND ALSO WHEN IT'S TIME TO LET GO OF THE RELATIONSHIP IT WILL BE HARD ON YOU.................TO MOVE ON WITH YOUR LIFE. TO DEPEND ON SOMEONE ELSE OR THING THAT SENDS YOU THROUGH DEPRESSION WITH DRAWLS EMOTIONAL AND PHYSICAL SICKNESS IS NOT GOOD FOR ANYONE..........IT LIKE YOUR LOOKING FOR THAT PERSON TO MAKE YOU HAPPY OR TO VALIDATE YOUR WORLD...........AND WHEN THEIR NOT AROUND YOUR WORLD COMES TO A END..........ARE YOU NOT OK WITH SELF.........TRUST ISSUES APPEARS TO BE PLAYING A BIG ROLE IN THIS PICTURE IT APPEARS...............TALK TO SOMEONE FIND A SUPPORT GROUP............ADDICTION IS NOT GOOD..........

I believe it's possible you can become addicted to anything. Remember even sunshine burns if you get too much.

That sounds more like obsession...not healthy and I would think from the other person's point of view, not desirable...
I wouldn't want anyone to feel like that about me...too needy...
