I am looking for a Windows based standalone prescrition program for my office computer system. Electronic submission of prescritions to pharmacies would definitely be a plus, but not really essential. Anyone know of a good program? Thanks

I am a physician in private practice and I am looking for a program to use in day to day practice to create prescriptions for patients.

I wasn't too sure in what he purpose of your request for a prescription software so I could not exactly recommend one for you. I wasn't sure if you wanted a tool to inventory drugs or a tool to provide labeling of prescriptions so I am providing you a link to a site that may or may not meet your needs.

LabelRx™ is a Windows / Mac prescription writing software solution. It prints prescriptions on a standard (4.25 in. x 5.5 in.) prescription pad sheet fed through a printer, or it can print onto a label that is then affixed to a standard prescription pad .

LabelRx™ expedites repetitive tasks (such as writing prescriptions, ordering labs/tests, requesting consultations, etc.) while reducing the chance of error due to miscalculations or miscommunications associated with written prescriptions. It also facilitates compliance with CMS and insurance company documentation requirements by conveniently linking the practitioner's diagnosis or indication with a Test, Lab or Physician Consult request.

This program simplifies prescription writing to the point that the task can be delegated to a qualified assistant who in turn presents the prescription to the prescribing practitioner for review and signature. In the appropriate setting, delegating this duty could increase physician productivity by allowing him/her to see an additional 1 to 3 patients per day. Prescription legibility is no longer an issue. Pharmacy callbacks for this reason are virtually eliminated.

I don't know how you would sign up (I think you call your local Walgreens and they may know..) and I don't know if other pharmacies do it or if it's just a Walgreens thing..Besides that I'm not sure for now but I will look into it
