When someone takes excess alcohol it affects their mind and body. Alcohol can drive a person into the evil world of insanity, violence, murder and hatred. We all read about crimes of passion and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess alcohol. This problem is known as being Blind Drunk.
When people are subjected to the brain-washing effects of excess religion it also affects their mind and body. Religion has a history of evil, insanity, murder and hatred. We all read about holy wars and the killing of innocent life as a result of excess religion. This problem is known as Blind Faith.
Notice the commonality of the two – Blind Drunk and Blind Faith, they both affect the commonsense and logic processing of the brain, and can turn otherwise decent people into savage insane murderers full of hatred.
Either way, when you are Blind Drunk or have Blind Faith you are Blind to the Truth, so why not say no to religion and learn how to be a decent human being again?

No. I can't have any faith in any gods because I don't have any belief in their existence. I agree with you that faith is overrated. It is sometimes useful as a crutch to get you through a difficult situation, but it can lead you to do bad things.

I agree that drinking and getting drunk will cause a person to do evil in every way. For I have known people who are in their graves today, because of being foolish enough to allow alcohol to be the main matter of their lives. I do not believe that people should fool with the rotten stuff at all. And as far as religion, the only religion, if you desire to call it that, that I have ever known is Christianity. Since I doubt very seriously if you have any idea what Christianity even means, then I will gladly tell you. It means believing that Jesus Christ came to the earth to become the perfect sacrifice for the sins of mankind; to save us from our sins. And every person must believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ for themselves. And if your mind is blind enough to not realize this, then it is you that is blind to the truth. You may be what you call a decent human being; which I have no doubt that you are. But if you do not believe upon the Lord Jesus Christ, but believe the foolishness which you have stated in your question, then it is you who is what the Bible calls, 'the blind leading the blind." I pray that God may be able to open your blinded eyes.

Yes I have faith in God. However your ramblings make entirely no sense to me. I don't consider being Christian as a religion. I consider it a lifestyle. The lifestyle that I lead is based upon love. I don't hate those who are not like me. I have no intentions of killing anyone nor do I wish death upon them. Many men in times past and I'm sure times to come use one god or another as an excuse for the evils they bestow upon others. However, you cannot blame God for what they do.
I do however notice that you didn't imply that the alcohol companies were responsible for the drunk where as you want to blame God for the fanatics. That would be like a child growing up to be a bad person and putting the blame on the parents without knowing that the parents created the learned behavior of the child.

Good question.....commentary irrelevant to the question.
God hates "religion".
He wants a relationship with each and every one of us, and He gave us a substantive means to have one in the form of Jesus the Christ.
Jesus said for us to love our neighbors (which includes our enemies) as we love ourselves. He also said if we love Him we will obey His commands. This includes the ten commandments, one of which says (though often misconstrued) "Thou shalt not murder". Thus, using the fact that people who kill or do other evil in the name of God, when they obviously are not following the God of the Bible, is ridiculous to say the least.
God does not expect us to have a blind faith. He has given us overwhelming amounts of evidence of His existence and His love for us in the scriptures, but few people ever make the effort to learn about Him. Sad.
Want some evidence? Go to www.answersingenesis.org, or www.drdino.org and find out that all that you have learned about evolution is garbage.
Well, lunch is over. Going back to work.
I hope and pray that you will make the effort to learn about God and the fact that Jesus is God and will ask Him to be your personal Lord and savior.

Brain like a computer , you can program it any way you want, the more you read about religion , I mene any religion the more you program yourself to believing in that, same thing with booze the more you dink the more you get drunk. My advise is moderation on both.
